The main menu is just a black screen for me, the music plays etc.
I know my laptop can run it as I played FC3 via alternative means but for some reason the screen is completely black. I can see the X in the corner of the window and click it and minimize it.

NVIDIA GeForce 820M with 2gb dedicated ram.
Now I was previously told that I won't even be able to run Far Cry 3, yet I did play it on ultra.
Everything is fine, its just the screen is black. I can play the game, I just have to carefully navigate the main menu with my mouse and click when you hover over an option and a sound plays. After about 5 minutes of guessing where my mouse was, I was successful in playing, I can move Jason about (hear the footsteps and listen to Grant etc) but can't see anything.
It plays like on the Xbox 360, not 30fps but around 19-23 fps. Some areas are fine, some slow down a bit but definitely playable.
I did all the U-play nonsense, installed, made an account etc.
