Don't know if this has been discussed or not, but I feel Corypgeys may come back in the future either through DLC or the next game. Why, you ask?

Because we sent him to the Fade.

He's shown he's capable of body snatching to avoid death. Who else is in the fade?

Stroud. Or Alistair. Or Loghain. Or Hawke.

So simple, leave Hawke, no more Wardens to posses, right? But remember, Hawke's blood was used to seal him, which means he has a special connection to it. I could see that being used as a handwave.

What do you all think, unless this has already been talked to death?

If even Corypheus has survived to his death for the 2nd time after a whole game dedicated to him, then i will start to believe that in Thedas death is an illusion at best and a joke at worse.

If I recall correctly then Hawke's blood was tied to the wards of Corypheus' prison and not Corypheus himself like they were the chains but not the prisoner. Hawke's blood was needed to renew the magic that was used in the wards because it placed there by blood magic and the blood used then was Malcolm's. Neither Hawke nor their father had a connection to Corpyheus.

Corypheus was also more likely disintegrated through the power of the orb judging by the animation and the Inquisitor's remark was just a quip so I doubt he is still alive and if something of him is in the Fade then it is likely an echo.

In short, I do not think he'll be making a return in DLC.

No way. They already made us believe he was dead before bringing him back for Inquisition.
It would be a big narrative mistake to yet again kill him and bring him back.

Plus, the way I see it, I don't think we sent him into the fade, the Inquisitor opened a rift in him, and disintegrated him. Plus his power to resurrect was disabled after killing a part of him sealed in the dragon.

Coryflower is gone.

Emmm no.. Just no!

Or at least i hope not. The Inquisitor opened a fade rift inside him. We saw his body turn to dust, till the very bones. Im not saying he wasnt able to survive that, but i dont think Bioware will go there. Unless for some reason the Magisters are unkillable and will all surface at some point to wreak havoc in thedas (the arquitect, corypheus, etc).

Still, i hope not. After Legacy DLC from DA2, it was obvious Corypheus was gonna show up again at some point. Many believed he'd be in Inquisition. But personally, and I think a lot of people think this too, i was disappointed that the Elder One was corypheus. I was expecting Corypheus to be like some kind of general to the Elder One, a whole new baddie, on a whole new badass level. Unfortunatly, the baddie turned out to be him. If he survived again to come annoy people on another game, I think there would be some serious backlash. I want Corypheus gone. He is completely useless to players now. Whatever important information he could share with us about the Black City seems to be completely wrong and he himself doesnt know exactly what happened (even tho he was there), so please please bioware. Let Corypheus rest in peace. He has troubled us enough.

Did you actually think he was dead? It was 100% obvious that he was still alive.

No, I don't think they will bring him back/he's still alive. He was a great boss in Legacy, and he should've been a great boss in Dai, but he was a failure. Bioware already used up their chance. Corypheus has no excuse to appear in another game unless in a flashback or similar. If they do actually bring him back, then they had better bring back the HoF from death from killing the Archdemon. It would only be fair.
