I was mostly a loner. I hoped from group to group until I went in the "Other Group" for small periods of time. I mostly hung out in the air-conditioned Library during summer. There were three groups in our Highschool. The Popular ones (you could further split them up into sub-divisions), the metal-heads and then the other group.

I never though I'd ever see Jason Akermanis used as a reaction image outside of Australian Football forums. Wow.

I kinda feel ashamed. I don't know who he is and I'm Australian...
Though I don't follow football obviously.

Yes. Obviously. You were part of the drama group, doing live performances for people.

I was popular in Elementary, unpopular in Middle school, and in High School I was kinda in between. Was friendly with all the cliques and had very few people I couldn't get along with. Was on the up and up until I met a girl and "fell in love"... After that I couldn't have cared less about any of it.
I was an officer in the top raiding guild on my server back when WoW was young. I got fed up with all the drama after a few months though and split off to form a smaller guild with my close friends. It was alot tougher to raid the end game content but it was so much less stressful.
Some of the stuff that went down in those Elite Raiding guilds back then was INSANE.

Middle school was not a good time for me. Then again, is it really a good time for anyone? I went to a small private school through 8th grade, and other kids terrorized me, but I didn't really know how bad I had it at the time, so it's not like I was miserable.
Otherwise I think I've done alright for myself. I was shockingly popular in law school, which is funny because I didn't go to law school. I guess I can thank hubs for the in there. I flew my nerd flag a little lower in high school and college, but now I'm pretty comfortable with who I am.

Oh no kidding. These days my nerd flag is accompanied by its own drum corps and trumpets. And people seem to like it.
Growing up has it's perks... not that I'd say I'm an actual grown up yet.

Haha! I totally agree. It's even better if you have family and friends who want you to be a nerd.
Nothing makes me more happy than going to the Renaissance Faire. Archery, turkey legs, and someone playing the Skyrim theme song in an accordion? Awesome!

Maybe because you guys are more tech-savvy? Nerdy stuff and athletic stuff are kinda the same - hobbies and stuff to do.

Yeah pretty much. I think my generation has pretty much gotten past the nerd vs jock thing. At least in my experience. Everyone played video games, everyone was into the latest tech gadgets, and the vast majority of people played at least one sport.Maybe because you guys are more tech-savvy? Nerdy stuff and athletic stuff are kinda the same - hobbies and stuff to do.
