Technically, IF he played enough or just had some blind luck, proof can be obtainable. On the other hand... linking said item to the method described is optimistic at best. 

 

Would be really tragic if he actually buys into all this nonsense.

Another way to guarantee a Purple is to smash every crate on the map, and the last one will have a Purple item.

You have to get every crate though.

The easiest way to getting a unique item is by urinating on the floor and sitting on it. Duh.
