Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of xbox timed exclusive on the first "story" dlc?  If the Black Emporium has any kind of story element to it (even something simple like some dialogue and a war table mission), maybe it's the timed exclusive.  I suppose that means it might be bundled with patch 5 for xbox users?  If so, I wonder how long the rest of us will have to wait ....

Black Emporium is separate from Patch 5. We beta tested them together, however as BE depends on added Patch 5 functionality.

Saying that the patch features The Black Emporium seems pretty straight forward. I have no doubt that they just changed their minds because The Black Emporium is behind schedule or they decided to sell it instead of giving it away.

Says people will get access to the Emporium during the Patch 5 Beta, made perfect sense that the Emporium was not part of PAtch 5.

It was the beta program that "featured" black emporium, but I can understand if people misinterpreted it as patch 5 ft BE as if it was a highlight part of the patch.  Whoever wrote Solas' dialogue must have written that article as well.  If you read it again it makes sense in Bioware's perspective, so nothing to get upset about..

Yes, it never announced as part of. Peoples just misinterpreted their announce message.
The Black Emporium just tested along with patch 5 not actually included in it.

Right now we can't even be sure that it gonna be free.

Im guessing to store upgrades which you want to save for later, which do count towards inventory.  I think it's better off in your own room since its only directly across from the Undercroft, and it actually gives you a reason to visit your room which looks gorgeous but functionally useless.

 

 

I mean, if you craft gear you don't want to use immediately you can store it right away. Idk, I usually get annoyed about my full inventory when crafting more than anything else in Skyhold.

 

They should go crazy and give us two storage chests

If there's a charge and it is DLC it is highly doubtful I will bother. If this released two months ago, I would have for sure. I'm on like, my 10th play through now? (I have some I didn't completely finish). I don't think I have that much more play time in this game - I find myself making characters more than I play the game now.

Maybe. Still more clear than a comma and a 'featuring.' Or. Crazy thought, they could've just put a disclaimer at the end that said 'the patch and the DLC are completely separate things and you may or may not have to pay for the latter.'

Nice examples. Pity they don't make any sense because while apples and oranges have nothing to do with each other, a game patch and a small feature added to the game (I doubt TBE is gonna be that big) DO have to do with each other.

 

Their (and your) problem if you don't wanna admit that unfortunate blog post could lead to tons of misinterpretations.
