Honestly I don't really have a problem with social media, it has positive and negative elements, just like, I don't know, every other thing in the universe ever.

I mind it if ALL you do is self promote yourself but otherwise seeing other people make an ass out if themselves is kind of fun! Especially those people who uses and posts pics of themselves from their youth and claims it's them now AHAHAHAHAHA, that is just SO deceiving LOL. And also those who try to bully others by acting all tough like they can scare them off to sign off AHAHAHAHAHA, it's so freaking hilarious!!!
I get enough "life" from my real life so I use the internet as a place to have fun, to laugh of other people, otherwise you are just as big a joke as they are LOL. My mum always told me, if you REALLY are something, then you don't need to go and show yourself off, whether it be online or in real life

My point exactly Miss Senator
It's nothing but two faced people. Unless I need a really good laugh.... shhhhh....
I'll stick to my real life, it's full and rich enough.

For the BSNers that have met me irl, they know I'm exactly the same as I am on the internet tbh. All 7 of them told me they were surprised at how I'm not different at all.
Nothing wrong with social media, it's just something of the people. Sooooo srew 'em.
Yeah, I've met a lot of internet people over the years (just one BSNer, so I thought I'd expand it a bit!) and the vast majority are entirely as you'd expect them to be. Some are a bit quieter IRL, including me (at least until I have some drinks inside me!)

I'm actually quite a bit quieter in real life that I am online. Usually in groups I'll be the one who says very little - I don't particularly enjoy trying to shout over everyone else, and there is likely someone already in the group who "leads" the way. On the Internet I'm more willing to partake in the conversation and silliness, but I'm pretty selective with what I get involved with. I'm not a huge gamer, so it's not as easy for me to get involved with gaming discussions for example.

Haha, yeah, I'm often the spectator or audience in other conversations! I'll throw out the occasional irrelevant one-liner unless I get started on some meandering ramble about a random subject.
The other BSNer I met is also very quiet, so the conversation for the afternoon was pretty much:
"..."
"Hmm."
"Er..."
"..?"
"..."
"mmm."
"..."
etc.

I did noticed that about 3 of the 7 BSNers I met were a little more shy and quiet than on the web. But their personalities were the same and we had fun. Usually consists of having some drinks together, playing some games obviously and sight seeing. I always break the ice fairly quickly with jokes and asking about their trip/telling them about my trip. A decent conversation can usually start up from there and making them laugh really lightens the first few minutes of awkwardness. I'm just myself on both the forums and real life even though I don't try to be, I just am.
In a few months I'm meeting my 8th BSNer though.
I'm racking up on you guys tbh. ಠ_ಠ

I met my husband through social media. In fact, we were introduced through mutual friends on XBL (whilst playing Mass Effect 3 MP) and a few months later we met up in Paris for a few days. That was August 2012. In November I visited him in Georgia USA & he proposed. Six months later we were married in Georgia, followed by a ceremony here in the UK in August of 2013. Our daughter Natalie was born the following May and she's now coming up to a year old.
Amazing how swiftly things can happen - especially when you are least expecting it.
I think social media definitely has it's perks, but of course you have to be wary of the crazies who try to deceive you. I've met several like that and you can get yourself in a lot of bother. If you are going to engage in anything beyond small talk, you need to be certain about the person you are communicating with.

Or you can just jump in and hope for the best. I've met some really nice people from BSN especially, I don't regret meeting any of them and hope to meet most if not all of them again sometime.

How have I not met you before? I just read your signature and I get so home sick some times. My family home is Nr Pontefract, but when I was home my brother would take me up the 1 through Newcastle. I miss the North Sea.

She is sweet and submissive(just the way I like em tbh) and has the sexiest voice ever. She needs some good ole fashioned disciplining sometimes, just to set her straight but she usually listens. Such a good girl.
Actually no.
Yeah, people meet all sorts of ways. I was just being silly.
Would like your post but I literally just used my last one.
