Right at the bottom of the patch notes is a great feature they added for Multiplayer:

  • Fixed cases of the new-item icon appearing on old items after salvaging in Multiplayer

This is what I have been waiting for all my life....

From the blog:

The upcoming Patch 5 for Dragon Age: Inquisition contains a number of improvements to gameplay and stability, as well as some new features. We’ve added party storage to the Undercroft at Skyhold and the ability to adjust the size of subtitles.

Below you will find a full list of changes and additions for all systems.

PC Specific: While we’ve added the ability to toggle mouse look, this feature is still under development and does not act optimally under all conditions. We are continuing to work on this feature to improve it for future releases.

Real or joke?

Improved archer AI so that they choose to enter melee combat less often.

Does this mean melees will have an even harder time dealing with archers?

I hope the armor fix is real this time around. Have seen too many kataris and reavers drop like flies over the many weeks since they screwed up armor.

Why even announcing the armor tints and the Mirror (+Emporium) just to add a beta-mouselook for PC, a party-chest and a size for subs?... Not seeing the icon is welcome, of course, but....oh, well.

Having right mouse click hold with mouse+keyboard completely changes the game experience imo. I've told virtually all my friends about it because of how much better I like the game with the macro enabled. With the macro it messes up casting AoE's in the distance though, but I'm hoping that maybe, with low expectations so as not to be disappointed, this beta mouselook will fix the AoE casting issue.

Yeah, if you can't force the archers into melee by getting close to them, killing them as a melee character is going to be even more of a PITA.

I suspect the fix is to AI controlled SP party members as they regularly forget they are ranged and will suddenly prefer to melee, especially with dragons.

Oh, that would really save Varric's life a hell of a lot more, if true. That crazy bastard is melee-happy this game. :P

Thank goodness they fixed a part in single player where Leliana may mention the wrong time line. Watch people lining up to come back to the game.

Yup. #1 issue that drove everyone away, IMO.

<snip>

Fixed cases of the new-item icon appearing on old items after salvaging in multiplayer.

Great. No, seriously. My OCD triggered badly when salvaging.

<snip>

Improved stability.

I really, really, really, really, really hope this is serious.

Honestly, my #1 "drive me away from the game" issue right now isn't the RNGesus-based loot system. It's not the limited number of maps or game modes. It's not the cloth bottleneck. It's not the ever-growing sense of this being just a flash-in-the-pan, half-assed implementation of ME3MP, designed to satisfy a checkbox on a spreadsheet somewhere.

No, it's the crashing.

Case in point: Having a great time playing with a BSNer last night. Boom, PS4 crashes out. Now, granted, it was our last match, but even if it hadn't been, I'd still probably have gone and done something else instead. It's literally the only game not named "Arkham Origins" that has crashed or locked up on me on a PS3 or PS4 in years.

I get it. Big software projects are huge and complex. The reason games today ship with a lot of bugs and flaws isn't necessarily because developers have the ability to patch them, but because bugs tend to grow exponentially with regard to the size of the software project. But I'm playing multiplayer, and occassionally streaming my average-level play to Twitch (you should all follow me, because reasons), not attempting to wall-climb or find exploits. I'm playing the game the way it's meant to be played, on an unmodified spec-hardware console, and still getting 2-3 crashes every night. Which means, again, I'm average.

That's absolutely bananas. A crash when someone does something against a border case, like attempting to glitch through a door or steal loot from a chest, is unacceptable but possible. A crash when doing nothing out of the ordinary is neither.

I get people are disappointed; but seriously, if there were an actual content patch to come, it'd be shipped with the Black Emporium one.

Also:

Updated abilities to function correctly with front armor rating.

Et tu, Katari?

that is nice.  What was the "loot exploit" though?  What were people doing?  They already removed the optional duping.

They didn't even announce MP until the game was damn near at release day.  The MP is barren.  They are justified in being disappointed.  (not to mention bugs and glitches)  Even if they had new content I wouldn't be surprised if they just never announced it either.  Times have changed around here.

  Times have changed around here.

Remember when people used to post suggestions about what new classes could be added or what enemies we'd like to see? Now we're all just apathetic.
