Why do everybody say "DW" instead of DD?

No, the reason is habit.  That's what the people who have been playing this sort of game (style and setting, not platform) have been calling it since before you were born.   So there's a huge established base that's used to saying/writing "DW", and will continue to do so.  Using the term "DD" actually marks you as a n00b.

It's disappointing that DAI rogues are limited to daggers. I much prefer maces and axes.

Because it started in DAO, when you could wield 2 swords, not just daggers. > DAO DW Warrior who had Starfang & Duncan's Sword. #badass

't Was potentially badass - lacked in speed though. That latter becomes even more jarring when using the speed-buff - with an dagger you were pretty quick, even for the relative slow DA:O combat. Swords with the boost? I had the impression it didn't give as much as boost as daggers and bows did.

Who cares :-) . Going through DAO dual wielding Starfang + ice rune and Maric's blade + flame rune is badass, no matter the DPS.
