I'm curious. Which war table missions did you like best? What was memorable? Funny? Surprising? Anything you wanted to solve differently than your advisers?

I remember one where you had to boost the morale of your troops stationed somewhere in the ass-end of Thedas, and Leliana wanted to give them better shoes, and all I could think of was 'that's my gal'.

And Josie doesn't want to give me the candies Maevaris sent us. That means war.

Oh, and then there was this minstrel who insulted the Inquisition and Leliana suggested to cut out her tongue. Riiiight

I'm sure it was something Sera related...

Sadly, there are a few of her missions, and I can't quite... well, Sera's missions.

The one you get after judging "the box" with Florianne's corpse.

The Valo-Kas missions. Even in text form Adaar's merc company made the Chargers look like crappy consolation prizes. It gave quiz some history, which was cool. I was able to imagine that she spent most of her time in the company of a comedic band of Tal-Vashoths and was way out of her element surrounded by super serious humans. I still want to meet Shokrakar.

Lord Chancer's party mission had some amusing text, and the outcome to buying the mystery box was pretty funny.

Sutherland was sweet. Especially being able to interact with them after each mission. Telling Sutherland I was honored to work with him and having him say it's the happiest day of his life? It made me glad I didn't tell them to ****** off and get out of the way.

Brokering peace between Orlais and Ferelden with Josephine, but pretty much every mission I sent Josephine on had me like

thats+my+baby.gif

Eta: Digging up dirt on Otranto's family with Leliana was pretty satisfying, too.

There are several but the one that comes to my mind is the one where some clerics are gathering behind this one opportunist who could cause trouble later.

Cullen suggests a little demonstarion of our military power to scare this cleric. Josephine suggests giving every possible support to her rivals and Leliana suggests sending an agent to deal with her.

I chose Leliana and the end result made me laugh a little. The cleric had mysteriously "disappeared" and while no one could directly link this to me, everyone knew that she was strongly against the Inquisition so they didnt want to test their luck. Game of thrones theme song started to play in my mind  .

King Alistair's because I found his letters amusing.

While I did find them amusing, I also found them.... indicative of his failings as a monarch (moreso if he's the one attending peace talks he's not qualified for if he's married to Anora, who actually is qualified).

personally I reject such things for my headcanon, as I believe Alistair was always capable of being a good monarch (and if hardened actually tries to be), and I also believe it might just be Bioware trying to play into the "Silly Alistair" image.

on topic: not sure what my favorite war table missions are.

I don't remember the actual mission but I remember Cullen's missive where he said let's just put her head on a pike then he says he's joking but ends the note with a sigh and says you want her head on a pike don't you.

I can just hear him sigh deeply and picture his expression when my quizzy says he's doing the mission

I also like the bard mission where Lel suggests a bard with no tongue tells no tales.

I know I have some others but I can't remember them at this moment

There are two missions that stand out for me:

The Tevinter Resistance because of the hilarious reports:

Josephine: Carastian candles which you will pry from my cold, dead fingers.

Leliana: The chocolates are mine, but the rest I pass onto you, Inquisitor.

Cullen: And a scented handkerchief. Don't ask.

And Judgment: Duchess in a box tour 9:41. The whole thing.

Read the report transcripts here. It's easy to see why Josephine and Leliana are good friends. Such a macabre sense of humor they share.

Saving clan Lavellan. I luckily manage to make the Dalish rule the city with the merchants... wow !
Sutherland and crew. I love them.
Finding the HoF... even if the reward was this short letter and the crap item.
Helisma and her research. What a nerd ! I like her comments about her discoveries... especially when she says that humans are impredictible.
The Tempest one...
Every message from Alistair.
Dagna trying to reconcile with her father.
Unlocking the jar of bees. The man is... frightening, in a funny way.
And research about dragons... I have my own dragon eggs now !! :D

Judgement: Duchess in a box tour 9:41 - lmao at Lelianas arranged visitations!

Judgement: Abernache over Under - Josephines "Do as we say or we will not recall our ambassadors" choice is hilarious! :D

The ones regarding Red Jenny, Shadows on Denerim and Contact the HoF. But there are plenty of them I loved, now I recall only these.

I enjoyed the "Hard in Hightown" missions, nobody plagiarized Varric and gets away with it!

There's this mission where the tavern's bard asks the Inquisition to deal with gossip made about her in some university.

While Leliana and Josephine came up with clever ways to help, Cullen's response was "No. This is ridiculous."

I found that just hilarious.

Abernache Over Under is the best single mission in the game. There is no bad ending for this mission (well maybe not from Abernache's perspective). The mission description is hilarious (Morvan apparently punches horses), all options are hilarious, and all endings are hilarious (we have to flip all the tables or else the pudding be runny
...or something like that). Best ending comes from Josie although Lel probably has the funniest.

Honorable mention to the warring household quest line for being the best line of quests with its five or w/e endings.

Also have to give the TI bodyguard mission points for having one of the more interesting solutions, namely smuggling templars to protect your ally in the TI from his rivals.

Definitely the Ben-Hassrath missions where you are trying to eliminate their spy network and foil their plans, foiling the plan to burn down denerim, causing chaos in Tevinter to distract them, all that was awesome.

Also loved the peace talks between Ferelden and Orlais one.
