It just needs that one time he saved Christmas.
Dora the Explorer, the HBO edition.

They should add in swamp diseases and stuff. Just have her explore the world and survive dangerous situations, maybe have her be some sort of fortune hunter? Also she could use officially licensed Bear Grylls products throughout the show as a clever way of advertising. They could end the series with her trapped in a cave (the cave in caused by her rival Swiper, who the show continually has her refer to him as being as sly as a fox) and having to eat her monkey companion to survive, eventually she gets found, rescued and ends up prosecuting her rival who gets life in prison for attempted murder.
They could then do a spin-off called Swiper on the Sly, which would deal with him breaking out of prison and outsmarting the authorities.

And these two anime:

The last one was a joke, that was just good for elementary kids.
I like this one a lot though.
Czech detected!
Czech detected!
Hah! Not really. It was just our TV liked Czech cartoons a lot!

I think a dark, gritty version of Gargoyles could be cool.
Man I had such a crush on Demona when I watched that show. ![]()

Sure she wanted to kill all humans, but I like to think that my tender devotions would prove to her that we aren't all that bad. ![]()

Everybody who has seen that show has crush on Demona. ![]()

This reminds me of that one old Mickey Mouse cartoon where he contemplated suicide after a break up with Miney. Damn that was edgy.
Or when Porky Pig attempted to hang himself for similar reasons.
Courage the Cowardly Dog... or rather, more episodes of that one. That one was surprisingly eerie and creepy in a good way which I never really noticed when I was younger.

That show, l never realized how creepy it really was untill recently
That guy is terrifying.
Invader Zim. Not dark enough.
The Snorks
As someone who's read Jhonen Vasquez' comics ( Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Squee! and I Feel Sick ) I can get behind the idea of a mature Invader Zim.
I also nominate Johnny Bravo.
Invader Zim is being brought back as a comic book, by the way.
The first issue comes out July 1st, it is being published by Oni Press.

Ah, my apologies. It's just that I absolutely loved/love these series that you just posted and kinda assumed that only czech people would be familiar with them.
(although Bolek & Lolek are actually Polish if I am not mistaken)
Are you by chance a neighbour to our country? ![]()
^ No. Sorry to let you down!

Then she becomes a prostitute...
Dexter's Lab!

Then she becomes a prostitute...
but not by choice. She gets kidnapped by a shady organization that does pimping and Diego, former explorer and love interest turned Detective, is forced to track her down and attempt to rescue her in the movie that follows the series finale, Go Diego, Go!.
The movie will bring about many questions such as:
How will this end?
What were the writers smoking?
Is this even necessary?
What sort of audience was this intended for?
Your guess is as good as mine.
Watch Go Diego, Go! in 3D this summer at a *theater near you!
*Go Diego, Go! will only be shown in the private theater of Baron von Vroom Vroom.
Aren't Diego and Dora cousins?
What becomes of Boots, and the dreaded Swiper catchphrase? ![]()
