Ok, ok. You all talk about how pretty it is (it's my fav area too, so I'm not really complaining...), but no one mentioned music. I mean, come on. I tend to just go there and listen (I ended up under Giant's feet once... or twice because I got distracted).

And Chateau d'Onterre mission was wonderful ouo

What music? I get silence mostly... that sucks!

May i post some screens of the Arbor wild ?

I don't think anyone will complain! (:

A fairy door? Is it the cute nug-sized cave with the teeny tiny signpost and the bluebells? Don't have a screenshot, sadly. I'm gonna make one, if I find it again.

Ahhhhh! I need this! Must find/see!

I meant to mention the music! It's definitely my favorite of any area on the map, so beautiful. I'm running around there right now listening to it (:

Well, you can definitely hear the same music that you hear at Winter Palace (at least most of it). And Temple of Mythal music... For me, a stroll at Emerald Graves is successful when I can hear the same music that plays at the entrance to Temple of Mythal.

Darn I am having serious troubles with music. I get a bit then it fades and it's silence. I do hear the music at Winter Palace sometimes, and it actually played during the hanging in Val Royeaux which seemed inappropriate. Lol

I know, right? I find myself just walking around while looking up, just to see how light plays between leaves.

And then I hit a tree.

It was the same for me. I actually started questioning my ingame sound when I got to Emerald Graves. "Wait, there's background music?"

It works for me now, although I don't know what I did for this to happen o.O

Same! I heard music in the Crossroads that I never heard before when I first played! It comes and goes all the time unless it's a cutscene it seems.

What I can say for sure is that I definitely got more sounds (and banters) after disabling internet options. Except for importing Keep world state, my game runs off the internet.

The Emerald Graves is one of many reasons i'd like to have a photo mode included into the PS4 version. This game is beautiful to look at.

Ah thanks! I'll try that! I love music and find myself putting on a game soundtrack just to keep inspired when it gets so quiet! Lol

Also cleaning your codex, journal and inventory from new entries/items seem to work for many people. I really hope it'll help, because this game seems so different when it's not silent.

I've had issues with music and banter, too, so I will defitnely be trying that, thank you Rascoth. XD

I adore the Emerald Graves. I visit it on occassion just to run around and enjoy the beauty of it all. Fantastic (fantaaastic!) work from Bioware's artists, right there. All over the place. Just damn, so pretty. XD The Elven lore there just serves to make it even better, if possible.

Thanks! I usually listen to the Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary soundtrack when playing. It's strangely fitting. Lol but I love the DA music and would like to hear it more, since it fits the atmosphere best!

Hahaha! I've often run into things or stopped unexpectedly dead against a mossy tree root because I was so busy admiring the view and listening to the music.

TOO MUCH PRETTY! And all the elven statues. What a gorgeous area. Bioware designers really outdid themselves.

You can take snapshots and store them on the PS4. I have a whole folder of DAI vids and snapshots. Just hit the "share" button on the controller when you want to take a picture, then hit triangle to save it. You can find it in your media capture area on the PS4. It'll even make a folder for storing stuff specifically for DAI :)

It fixed for me both music and banter, so there's still hope, right? :)

I really wish you luck with that. I've spent 400+ hours with silence, so I know your pain.

Falling into Giant's cave was one of the most unexpected (and the most ungraceful) things that happend to distracted me.

I totally forgot to mention that Emerald Graves has one of my favourite location comments. Especially Bull's  :D

If you try those fixes and are still not getting music, what works for me is fast traveling from the war table. I usually test this from Val Royoux as I normally don't have music there. Check - no music. Go to the war table and fast travel (to any location, even if it's not Val Royuax initially) to Val Royoux - have music. Don't know why it works. But it does. The trick is to always leave the war table by fast traveling (doesn't matter where). Leaving the war table in any other ways means I don't have music in certain areas.

I don't remember if I had music at Emerald Graves or not... so I will have to test that this time around.

I know about that one too ;)

There are speculations that leaving war room directly to Skyhold may cause this music/banter bug.

About Val Royeaux... today someone told me that there shouldn't be music at Val Royeaux nor at Skyhold. It's just another bug... Still, if this fix my music/banter, I'm more than happy to live with that.

Interesting, an area appreciation thread, how novel.

This is also my favourite area, I love forests.

one of my favourite things would be the tiny faerie door. On phone so can't post screens atm.

But can we romance it?

I was just about to ask that. ;(

Seriously though, love the screenshots that are being posted. Can't count how many times I go back just to run around with nothing to even do.

The Exalted Plains even has a beauty to it underneath all of the war devestation. Just makes it that much sadder to me.

Suledin Keep is another I can't help but stare at. Emerald Graves will hands down always be my favorite though.
