Yeah, I guess.
There are enough trees for everyone.
Everyone should check out the Biophilia effect/hypothesis. It's the phenomenon that most humans respond positively to nature scenes - possibly due to our hunter/gather stage. And you don't have to view real nature to get the effect. Pictures and simulated images work to.

ZOMG THIS IS ADORABLE/HILARIOUS
I loved it as well until...

The Emerald Graves is such a beautiful area. I love forests IRL. The lighting in the area- the green glow filtering through the trees- is amazing.
However, some of these pics are of the Arbor Wilds (the ones with the palm trees and parrots), not the Emerald Graves. The Arbor Wilds puzzles me. It is inexplicably...tropical considering how far south it is. It is the same latitude as the Korkari Wilds which, according to lore, a little farther south there is supposedly a frozen wasteland were barbarian tribes eek out an existence.

Tis all magic, I suppose. Ancient Elvhen magic.
Btw, I can't find the fairy cave anymore. Anyone know where it was?
This thread was long overdue. The Emerald Graves have everything. Great music, scenery to admire, nugs to shoot, great bears to run away from, a beautiful dragon, a haunted house and quite a lot of things to do. This is my favorite region.
BTW, does anyone else feel bad about killing that great bear family that pops up in subsequent visits? I mean, yeah, the whole family attacks you if you approach, but still.....they may be oversized and dangerous, but they're still cubs.
Edit:
A fairy cave? What marks a cave as a fairy cave?

I do, yeah, not really cool. I don't like killing trolls as well, but hum, good exp is good exp. In that kind of game, nothing we can spare.
I lost every sympathy with bears in this game before I even left the Hinterlands.

There were no actual fairies, but it was tiny, like up to your knees tiny, and had a tiny signpost and flowers in front of it. Someone here called it fairy door which I think is very fitting. Twas so cute but I can't find it anymore.

Yeah where is this fairy door everyone speaks of??

It seems I wasn't the only one confused about the Arbor Wilds. I would understand that somehow the Temple of Mythal would look as it look (all this magic is there for some reasons after all), but the whole place? Straaaaannngee...
Actually it would make much more sense if the scenery went from the one in Emerald Graves to that of Arbor Wilds. It would add this "something's odd with this place"... and then bam! Elves!
I know, right? So many things. The "Parson's Battered Notebook" quest in the Graves is like that.
Spoiler
Hey, wait. Is that possibly the girl Cole and Solas are referencing in their cryptic banter? The one where they go "It was wrong to put it in her. She was just a little girl." (paraphrasing)???

Are we talking about quest that ends with finding a girl's diary at the top of a waterfall after finding her body at the bottom of it? Because that quest... yeah....

"Tree hugging" is now given a new level of meaning.

No, that's different quest. The one with "Parson's Battered Notebook" isn't even marked. I missed it in my two first playthroughs because of that ![]()

hmm. I'll have to look out for that one.
Where can I find the impaled bear heads? My inky wants to take a selfie in front of them.

You know, I got that banter not too long after the end of that quest and I thought the same exact thing. I think it must be a reference to that. An interesting thing to do would be to not do that quest and see if the banter still popped up. But I think it must have to do with that quest considering the timing when I got it.

I think it's on the rocks near the haunted house. Closer to the bridge than the house.
I love that one codex quest that implies clan Ralaferin and Keeper Gisharel are the dalish Joe Bloggs and might not even exist.

The cave is right above the "A Lover's Promise" quest area. Where the picnic blanket and food is spread out above Gracevine camp, between the camp and the river, sort of diagonally right. It's in the rocks above that picnic area. It can be a bit difficult to find, it took me a while, because it's like a side entrance in the rock, so unless you go forward and turn you won't see the opening.

There was a picnic in Emprise du Lion map as well with two bodies burnt to a cinder, like they were lovers having a special moment and were murdered, very sad.

The trees in this region aren't huggable.
They're more liable to swallow you whole if you try.
Lol,I haven't seen that one!But then again what about Neria and the arcane warrior from mp,they're both from clan Ralaferin.I think it's on the rocks near the haunted house. Closer to the bridge than the house.
