I find the distant camera during conversations takes me out of the experience. I am where the camera is, when the camera is distant, so am I.
For scenes where you don't reply I can understand, but every conversation where the dialogue wheel is available, a cinematic camera should be employed I believe.
I find myself panning the camera around trying to find the best angle to get a close-up of the characters' faces. I think this is a step back in Bioware's visual storytelling.
