Play the game correctly and the way it was originally intended to be played.
Problem solved.
Its their vision and narrative to be played out however they see fit. Not yours.
I disagree entirely, but I see where you are coming from. By the way, I have played the game the way it was "originally intended" twice and loved it. I don't think that having some extra skill points or a higher Inquisition rank is in any way breaking from Bioware's vision for the game. DA:I is of course Bioware's intellectual property, and they have total control over the characters, story, lore, game world, etc. However, I think any Bioware employee would agree that the games they make are worlds that we, the players, can then explore and experience. Not a linear guided tour that is dictated to us. I also disagree that players have to play the way game developers "intend" them to play. Entire new games like Counter Strike and others have arisen specifically because players and fans of a company's work were inspired to play differently and different from the original intent. That's an extreme case because using exploits is, by comparison, extraordinarily benign, but you get my meaning. If I go out and buy a car, and pay it in full, I own the car. The manufacturer can suggest that I not go to a parking lot and drive doughnuts until my tires are bald, but now that I own the car, I have every ability to do so. Another extreme example, but again I am merely trying to illustrate a point. I cannot change DA:I, or sell it for profit, or take credit for it, etc. because it is Bioware's IP. But I do own the game, paid for in full, so what is the harm if I or anyone else uses a few exploits in singly player, which were already in the game? I played through Inquisition twice "legitimately", but why take away a part of the game that lets me be slightly stronger than if played legitimately? Especially since my single player experience doesn't affect anyone else.
Old-gen customers want their LOT of bugs be fixed. Meantime, Bioware put a lot of efforts to fix harmless exploits. The new patch bring even more bugs! So, yeah, some people want Bioware to work on another things that patching exploits...
This is a great point that I forgot to mention in my original post. There are still some pretty major bugs, but we all know that many games have them so I'm not picking on Bioware. However, some quests and mission-breaking and game-breaking bugs still exist, but harmless, optional game exploits were patched more quickly than more severe game-hindering bugs. Again, I'm not blaming Bioware or accusing them of laziness, because all games have bugs nowadays. The prioritization of harmless exploits getting fixed when I still cannot finish the "Under Her Skin" quest is a bit upsetting, though.
I will charitably assume that you are acting like an stereotypically dumb console player to start a PC vs console flamewar:
You knew that when you bought the console - you can't buy a Chinese version of a book and then come crying that you can't read it becaus it's Chinese. You bought a console specially because you enjoy having the developer dictate exactly how you have to play the game.
[Commands that are run by typing text in black window are not magical cheats, but I can see why people growing up with touchscreen tile kind of operating system would get that impression. ]
On the other hand, it is your prerogative to stop playing garbage you do not enjoy. It is also your prerogative to buy games from mod-friendly developers if you are into that kind of thing.
I am actually a PC gamer, I have most of my games on PC, but not Inquisition. In previous Dragon Age games I have been able to use mods and console commands, but I was wrong about that in this case. I didn't know that console commands didn't function in the same way for Inquisition, so for that inaccuracy I do apologize. However, there is no need for you to be so antagonistic. I love Dragon Age Inquisition, so it is not "garbage that I do not enjoy". And despite this topic being dedicated to a gripe I have with the game, I have had a 99.9% absolutely positive experience with the game, so I am not bashing the game or Bioware. This is the feedback forum and I am simply leaving feedback which I hope is constructive.
