Yeah, the banter has worked on Xbox one at least since new year.
Will patch 5 fix the party banter at all?

Just got my first bit of banter after playing around 10 hours after the patch. I know if you stay in one area for a while, you'll get it, and that's what I had been doing since I started a new playthrough and have only visited Haven and the Hinterlands so far. Just surprised it has taken this long to get banter.

I tend to get banter right before combat starts, so the banter continues during the combat.

Oh, the funniest thing happened earlier, I was at a rift in the Hinterlands, and 2 of my companions were KO'd but they were still talking to each other, IN THE MIDDLE OF BATTLE.

I was going through Exalted Plains today for the Way of the Champion quest. That place is a banter gold mine, my companions wouldn't shut up (not sarcastic, and compared to the other places). Go to a ramparts: banter, other ramparts: banter, by the river: banter, close a rift: banter, place a camp: banter, check out the group of people on the left side of the map: banter.
Normally I get 2 banter fires per map on average, if I'm lucky 3. This time though it was all over the place

Didn't they say Hinterlands is a little different? I think Cass/Varric/Solas are designed to fire more in Hinterlands then anyone else, I could be wrong though
