Completed quest but when I returned to Skyhold some weapons were missing. So, I loaded a saved game from Servants Quarters and tried to do the quest again... problem is... in the Royal Wing the door is "locked from the other side" for the doors to the "trap" by Florene... cannot get in the door no way!!  Okay... deleted most of my games and started mission over from beginning... same thing... cannot get in the door!!!  I am screwed!!!

The Royal wing does not unlock unto AFTER the dance with Florienne, AFTER the servant's quarters. You have to work through the quest, and all of the cut scenes to get into the royal wing.

I have loaded a saved gamed from before starting this mission. I then went to the war table and started the mission from scratch. I follow the quest steps (i.e. servants quarters, dance with Florianne, Empress private quarters, etc. ). Once in the Royal Wing I am not able to open the double doors into Florianne's trap as it is locked!  I have done this mission before (in this game) but was not happy with the outcome and decided to re-load and replay the mission. I am wondering if this is the problem? The first time through the door opened as it should. It is only after this that game seems unable to open that door... it is like the game thinks that I have already opened it and am inside so it has locked the door behind me... too bad I'm not in the room!!!  This is a game-ender as I have tried everything that I know to do... I am bummed.  I liked this character!

Go in and delete the saves of the mission so that when you continue, there is no save of anything of the mission. Now save and exit the game. Repair the game via Origin. Go try it again.

Thanks for your reply... I have some hope for my game!  I am running on XBOX One and never heard of repairing a game (never needed it before). Do you have a link to a document/page/write-up on how to repair a saved game on XBOX One via Origin... I would greatly appreciate it.

Try EA Access for Xbox One. Supposedly there is a way to repair games or get help specifically for EA games there.

This is wierd.

If you are able to access the Royal Private Chambers you should also be able to gain access to the backyard where you meet Florianne de Chalons.

The first thing that peeps in my mind is that you haven't done something that is reqired to proceed?
Can it be? And if so, what could it be?

Have you spoken to Celene and Briala? Or Gaspard if you chose that path?
Did you speak with Leliana again and gave her all the evidence you have gathered?

There must something that awaits a release?

Update:  Tried several fixes today but no luck.  I have deleted all my saved games that reference this mission; exited the game; shut down XBOX One; did a hard boot; deleted Persistent storage; loaded older saved game and started mission from the war table. Followed all the required steps (found all Hallah statues, danced w/Florianne, found blackmail stuff, gave Leliana information, etc. and STILL the double doors to Florianne's trap in the Royal wing are "locked from the other side". I have played this mission about 10 times now with no luck...  Chatted with EA on the issue with no resolution.

Did you eventually find a solution? I have the same problem. I also finished the quest earlier, tried again and then got stuck.

Ri An: No I never resolved this problem... in fact forgot about this issue and started a new game a couple of days ago... and guess what... same problem!!  I am really, really disgusted.   Game-ender.

The solution was quite easy actually. There's another entrance through the bedroom
