Huh? Did you misunderstand what I just said?
I'm going to post on both threads.
It was a joke about how this thread is full of Solas thread regulars....
not a very good joke. I'll see myself out.

Madam, are you hoarding elven slaves in your basement? Surely you give them treats for revising well.

We're on the temporary "business" one. This is the permalink if anyone would like to join in.
https://plus.google....ca.org/art-chat
You may have to try coming in twice due to one of us needing to "approve" a guest coming in (due to how Business Hangouts works), but after the first permission is given, you can hop in and out without approval afterward.
You're auto muted after joining, btw. You can unmute yourself any time.
Is it open to peeps who want to say pop in for curiosity's sake? ![]()

Always open! We've been having a Hangouts chat open for visits for the last several weeks. Feel free to come in whenever. As I stated above, you may need to try entering twice after someone "approves" of you entering. We'll be using this link for the next month, then we will probably go back to "regular" Hangouts.

I am a gracious mistress. But I've had to keep all my butlers on a tighter leash since the Great Butler Uprising happened. We don't talk about it.

A possible connection between the Fade and the Stone:
http://dragonage.wik...ns_of_the_Stone
This codex is found near one of the puzzles you do to collect a key fragment to the tomb of Paragon Fairel, in the Hissing Wastes. If you complete the puzzle incorrectly, demons come out of the stone. Which is kind of wack, but we've seen it before in DAO with the Gangue Shade (which was a demon you could summon in the Deep Roads if you were wearing the Legion of the Dead armor).
Gangue is a dwarven word meaning "impure spirit of the stone". In the case of the Hissing Wastes demons, it could be that they were sealed into stone by means of runes. After all, Paragon Fairel was known as the foremost master runesmith of his time (and perhaps of all time). Also according to this codex:
http://dragonage.wik..._Silent_Quarter
the veil is thin in the Hissing Wastes, from before the breach was opened. It could be that binding demons to protect the key fragments weakened the veil. Or perhaps the dwarves bound the demons to keep themselves safe from possesion in a place the veil is thin.
What interests me is that dwarves are entombed in stone upon death. In dwarven culture, it is known as "returning to the Stone". When a paragon dies, or "returns to the stone", their spirit is said to enrich the Stone and guide future generations. Since dwarves are known to be blocked from the Fade, it could be that dwarven souls don't pass through the Fade (which is the accepted lore for both elven and andrastian faiths) and are trapped in the stone, driven mad like sylvans (which are spirits trapped in trees and driven to madness).

Only vaguely. There was this butler otame game called "Hadaka Shitsuji". It was weird because there were so many butlers in a single manor. So stories were made that they were all veterans of the Great Butler Wars. it was funny at first because the protagonist was butthole, and later found out he was a sadist for harming a plant butler LI. It got disturbing really fast. Couldn't finish it.

Hey guys! It's my bday and plans got canceled due to a HUGE snow storm that just hit. So, naturally I started looking for NSFW/smut goodness and heard of this new shiny place.
I don't know any good smut off-hand besides trawling the usual places. I usually just look at Nikki's art (it's on the first page of the thread) and swan dive into a dumpster.

The Butler Uprising joke was born from a Japanese butler dating sim, the plot of which involves the player character (who is the WORST) who gets to live in a house full of butlers. And you just live there. Free. Because you answered an ad in the paper. One of the butlers tries to turn into a flower to please you. You are a sociopath and the WORST. I don't know. You really don't want to know anything further. {edit: What Rabbit said].

Finally caught up...
From my understanding it seems like ancient Elvhen is borrows many influence from Ancient Greek. Not surprising since Bioware borrowed a lot of ancient Greek myths for Mass Effect.
So are the Forgotten One were something like Cronus and Elgar'nan was someone like Zeus ? It might even contain a healthy dose of Nordic gods as well.
& the Old Gods, those Dragons, were they what the Red Lyrium Dragon was to Corypheus ? As in draconic being in which they invested their power in and when they thing dies, they become really weak. Which might explain why Solas is pissed off at Grey Wardens ? That could also explain how the Well of Sorrows know this.
I believe that Fen'Harel is something like Loki. Not that he was innately evil, no. But he was adopted and as such is a mix of Asgardian and Jotun. Which could explain why he can walk freely amongst everyone. He was a hybrid of sorts. It would also explain his rebellious nature which can be seen as a prankster.
As for the vallaslin being a binding agent of some form makes sense.

Oh that would definitely be weird, not just that one story but another that was one of the first to go crazy on red lyrium.

By the way, you all remember Amgarrak right ? How does that place with its machines and designs tie into all of this. I mean, Amgarrak demonstrated the existence of multiple dimensions or multiple levels of the Fade. I mean that is what those Lyrium wells did.
http://dragonage.wik.../Amgarrak_Thaig
I suspect that Ancient Dwarves not only had ties to magic and the Fade but could manipulate it far better than Elves could. We have not heard of any Elven tale of the Fade having multiple levels or multiple dimensions. The Ancient Elves could use the Fade better but the Dwarves could manipulate it better.
