For me, it's partly the revelation that the vaunted ancient elves were slave-owning bastards no better than their human conquerors and that Arlathan had slid into decay before the 'vents even showed up. I want the Pantheon to put the Orlesian nobility to shame, for the people who think themselves the pinnacle of fashion and wealth to look on Falon'Din and despair.

Falon'Din has a different outfit to fit each beautiful owl.  The top one is made by falon'din and it's cloak pin for the most hideous light blue cape.

Swevenfox does use lovely colors on his artworks.

 

Also, I'm liking all these renditions of Falon'Din that the fans have come up with. Makes me afraid that Bioware's rendition of Falon'Din (and the rest of the pantheon) might not look as interesting.

It's impossible for anybody. ANYBODY.  Also - aside from your wonderful drawing Moondrummer - why hasn't anyone drawn June??? FABULOUS AND GLORIOUS JUNE??? If I could paint or draw worth a dam I would draw and bedazzle many things in His name.

I would love this. I definitely would love this. But you know how Bioware is with hair in their games.

Oh, yes! I want them to have these elaborate hairstyles, all braids and coils and shine, with complicated headdresses festooned with fine chains and gems. I want everything about them to be needlessly complicated, really.

Not important, but I just realized that the 5 reeds mythal is depicted with probably represents her 5 children: Falon'din, Sylaise, Andruil, Dirthamen and June (who somehow "created himself" in legends)

What I dont like about swevenfox's renderings is that he makes them look like demons...they're not. They are elven gods. Flemythal doesn't have smoke hair...and she dresses super fabulously. Even if they weren't "gods" in the term, they were deemed so by their followers for a reason. They would be adorned with gold and jewels and anything remotely valuable and fantastic to reinforce their position as gods. 

 

gods are fabulously and lavishly dressed. end rant because i'm still stuck on my painting of falon'din....
