Nathaniel Howe, Cole, Varric. People who just make me happy on my team. (Easy pick for me.)

 

Shale, Aveline, Fenris. Classy rage! (This one was a wrench. I love a lot of the warriors A LOT.)

 

Vivienne, Dorian, Fin. Because someone has to make the rest of us chumps look good. (For a bit, I couldn't think of a third mage that I REALLY REALLY WANTED. Not that I dislike the mages, but I don't feel a mighty-need-grabby-hands for most of them. Except Wynne, who's dead, so I can't have her.

 

 

And if I can bump it up to 12... Sigrun, immediately, no questions asked. A dog, presumably a new one... Hawke, and my Orlesian warden.

Oghren: my favorite dwarf, he's usually 2H warrior for me, but in this scenario he can use axe and shield. Not the best warrior in the team production wise, he's slow and easily defeated, but makes up for it with great personality. 

Blackwall: not my favorite guy, but he usually gets the job done. Very hard to kill. His horn of valor grants guard to the entire party.

 

2H

 

Justice: I love the sentinel armor set in Awakening and usually let Justice have it. This is reason enough to choose him for my team. Also it's cool to fight side by side with spirit of Justice.

Sten: I chose him over Iron Bull, because Bull is dead in 1/2 worldstates of mine. Conversations with him are like puzzles but you can bribe him with cookies. He's the Arishok now too so that should make him useful.

 

Rogues:

 

DW Daggers

 

Cole: mostly useful because of his spirit abilities (mind reading and invisibility).

Zevran: not the most trustworthy guy I guess, but he is funny. Great banter. Another favorite.

 

Archers

 

DAI!Leliana: I didn't like Leliana at all in DAO, but loved her in DAI. Would love to have her in my team. Only problem is she doesn't always do what she is told (like when she kills Felix even though the Inquisitor specifically told her to let him go) but that just what makes her more interesting.

Varric: very tough choice between him and Sera, but in the end he gets along better with my Inquisitor. He's the better choice for the team.

 

Mages:

 

Solas: no brainer - he is one of my all time favorite companions (right there with Kreia, Lord Scorge, etc.)

Merrill: because there can never be too many dalish companions and every team needs a good blood mage. Would like to hear her banter with Solas or Justice.

Morrigan: okay, it was either her or Anders... Though I didn't like her AT ALL in DAI, she was still my favorite mage in DAO and my Wardens love interest (and the mother of his child!) so I guess she does deserve the last spot...
