Well, I've always been a bit of a softie toward Conrad - so much so that it was announced on the loudspeakers that he was starting a charity. Also: Too bad I had to lie to him to keep up the Paragon.
Why the hell do some get the bug and some don’t? What’d you do in your paragon playthrough that made it carry over, but not mine?
The Conrad glitch irritates me so much. I was nice to him and got gypped. Has there been ANY dev input on this? What the hell do I need to do to make the charity outcome happen?

However, I have done 4 run-throughs of the game and she and Conrad only showed up once.

How do you make the charity outcome happen? Just finish his quest via the paragon options (Renegade may work, but I only ran into him in one of my 4 playthroughs, so I never got the chance). Then when you're running around Illium later, it'll mention over the ambient speakers that he started a charity called Shepard's.
Every playthrough has him doing the "You pointed a gun in my face!" dialogue, no matter what you did in ME1.

I'm bummed about that bug too. IF it is a bug, I sure hope BW didn't assume that everyone picked the gun-in-the-face option just because everyone talked about it so much in the boards.
Anyway, contrary to what many seem to think you don't have to lie to him to go the Paragon way. You can tell him he was being used and THEN go Paragon on him (or Renegade for that matter)

Oh, you're saying the charity announcement only happens after you complete the ME2 Conrad quest, then. I thought the charity announcement was the paragon outcome of the first game's Conrad sidequest.
But I don't get it - why wouldn't they write in a paragon outcome? That seems so weird. Especially since the renegade one is so specific, saying you shoved a gun in his face when you didn't.

I did the lie, got the paragon and the charity thing later. So it's all good I guess.

I want some clarification on this, devs! At least spare me the torment of wondering whether it’s just a bug or a design choice…

Hell no he shouldn't be a squadmate in ME3. Are you insane?
He should be squad leader if you did the bloodbath ending!

Think back to your ME1 playthrough :
How many of us have heard inside an elevator that Conrad Verner was shot after picking a fight in a bar even after the player convinces him to go home?
How many of us have heard inside an elevator that an operation to stop a biotic extremist attack on a Sirta Foundation facility ended in a "bloody massacre", even when the player managed to save ALL the scientists and was praised by Hacket?
Looks like ME1 does not write the right outcome for some assignments in the savegame file, which in turn misleads ME2.
If it's true, then I don't think it can be fixed any other way than fixing the bug in ME1 and... Have all players run a new playthrough...
It's just speculations though.

Conrad, Consort, Scientiest, ect...
I got no motivation to play ME2 with these bugs, and even if they fix them they still don't import into ME2 or ME3... sigh..
