Next game, can we have elven companions that don't hate other elves?

Romancing her wtih a qunari was pretty awesome if I ever pick up the game again though I might try with dwarf too just because I like playing them so much.
I'll bet I've only done two romances as a dwarf and the kissing did look a little awkward most of the time bu most of the time they grew a couple feet.

I still enjoy MoA and don't really like or dislike her one way or the other but she was just horrible in a fight even on the easier settings she went down so quickly, so if they fix that all up and make her not fall in the first two seconds I wouldn't mind her as a companion.

On the plus side of the dwarf romance.. her responses to you are awesome. I'd even say they're better than Qunari.

And if you play as warrior you get some ****** awesome armour, as opposed to the rusty tin armour Qunaris are stuck with.

Yeah definitely... if Tallis is to return, she needs to get her **** together. Cause MoA was just ridiculous.. I quite enjoyed that DLC myself. Sarcastic Hawke and her had some amazing interactions and chemistry.

Although it kinda sucked having to go "stealth" in the castle to stay on her good side...

Not intelligent, intentionally vague,  PMed

I should have got the reference, though!

I'm ashamed.

Because some people find emotional abuse to be hot.

aka masochism, I think I covered that by  saying that " for some perhaps this was a deliberate and very exciting development".

For those who aren't though... not so much. ;)

Yes and that's why I wonder why take it at all? Hope that you can change someone?

You nailed it in that question, Doc. ;)

I think in that regard Sera's romance plays quite realistically, there is nothing in the game that would make her make such a U turn. Of course you can say that when you get into it you don't know what lies ahead, but in the end when the whole elven thing happens, it shouldn't be such a surprise.

I'm aiming for DLC that might be able to change things.

Surplice?

I get you, though.

I guess it's a matter of understanding Sera's character, overall. She is stubborn and sticks to her beliefs. I don't foresee a "character development" of any sort.. it would have happened in the game, if it were to happen. And I think that's part of the point.

But back on the thread's topic... yes, we rather do need elves among us who don't hate the Dalish, because it does get quite wearying.

Well, I can see how it can go a very angsty route in a future game, if the speculations about her are even a little bit  right and if the writers want  to go about it that way. I don't know if I would want to be in romance with her if this was to happen because...Despair Event Horizon will lead to Heroic BSOD

I'd love an elf who doesn't talk down to other elves... who isn't a victim of internalized racism OR an inflated sense of superiority.

But I really don't think Bioware "hates elves" (or "hates the Dalish"). That's a bit silly.

Agreed.

I think it's more of a case of creating characters that are different.. or aren't stereotypical, so to speak.

I think one can make a sizable argument for it. After all, how many human towns can you engineer the mass slaughter of?

Denerim? Redcliffe?

No, and one, which is still not the same as three scattered through every game so far.

Ok, how many elven camps you can mass slaughter exactly? I'm a bit fuzzy on that. If you count the Lavellan group you out to count Denerim too.

Er, no. Why would I need to?

I mean if we are going to compare violence between elves and humans (for purely statistical purpose)

I've said before that I think the disposable elves thing is goofy, but that still doesn't mean BW hates elves in DA. You have to be a really strange person to experience hatred for something you created.

It's got nothing to do with behaving, sweetheart. Your presence is a curse to all threads.

Romancing Sera is frustrating if you're an elf, imo. You have to try a little too hard to impress her... and there's a lot of "maybes" as opposed to "woof" or, if you're dwarf, "OMG you're so smushey".

But.. apparently the drama, if you're elf and pro Dalish, is delicious. If you're into that.

Wot.

She's not Dalish, is she? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought she was Qunari.. wonder what Sera would think if she met her.

"Woof... oh wait, too elfy."

I think shes so Smushy personally

But you never attack Denerim or see it destroyed. Darkspawn Chronicles isn't canon.

Really? I think it's quite easy. Especially if you create something as an antagonist/punching bag.

I meant that you can by accident destroy Lavellan clan, and you can by accident burn Denerim (though perhaps not to the ground) in the same fashion, oh and you can help attack on Kirkwall.

As far as I remember you can only actively destroy elven camp in DAO.

(I have not read the books or anything else outside of the games)

If you actually created them, what if someone had been there then left created them, and you were forced to deal with them later?

Remember quite a few developers have worked on Dragon Age over the years.

You destroy the one in DA2 as well, and the only one that appears in one of the books gets wiped out too.
