But seriously once you have all the banners done once why bother?  At this point challenge points a worthless.

At this point?  Challenge points always were worthless.  However, the variety in gameplay which is inspired by completing challenges is worthy, and leads to better play capabilities in many cases.  But then I would say that, to justify my own approach to the game.

I don't really have a favourite or non-favourite overall challenge, although my points return with SMGs is atrocious most of the time.  I don't like the TSol / Quarksman / GI approach personally, as I like to find a different kit for each weapon.  I scored 1700 points once with the Shuriken.  I'd get drunk and use it again sometime, but I don't drink.

OP - Suppressor on the ACA, with maximum attention to headshot bonuses is genuinely satisfying, particularly double-tapping Phantoms.  Follow up with Paladin and Carnifex - all much better than your Predator.

Does anybody have any particularly innovative / fun uses for the BPP?  Other than TSol / Quarksman / GI, obviously.

I think you are mistaken.  The rule is that you marry the Claymoar and make the Wraith your mistress.

Well, it's good on the Vorcha Soldier, among several others. Not sure why you only mention accuracy boosting classes.

The BPP is awesome too. Hornet is decent, if not better than the Tempest.

<snip>

SR and SMG masteries are more annoying to me. Hurricane, CSMG and BPP are all very effective for gold and plat, Tempest is OK with enough boost to weapon damage. But then I still have to use an other one. Shuriken and Locust don't do enough damage, and I find the Hornet irritating. So I usually end by taking the GPSMG with the Tsent or the geth engineer.

<snip>

BPP is what I went with for my final SMG.  Damage is ok I guess, but only if you can actually land every shot despite the terrible revenant-like accuracy and brutal argus-like recoil.  And I was using it on a TSol, with a stabilizer consumable.  I have no idea how any kit without accuracy/stability bonuses could hit the broad side of a barn with it.

There's this thing called the SMG stability mod. It makes the BPP as accurate as the Locust. No need for Turians or stabilization consumables. It's one of the key mods for both the BPP and the Tempest.

I love Pistol Mastery. I've completed it 15x and would have done it many more times if it weren't for DAMP...

Overall, I put most of them on my QFI and I am good to go.

SMG Mastery and TSol waves completed pretty much go hand-in-hand for me ... funny that.

Nah, the key mod for the BPP is the Vorcha - who needs accuracy when... FNNNAAASSH! FNWaaghl, Fhsneeer FshnEAAEERR! RAWHG.

I used to do weapon challenges for fun and variety encouragement for trying different things. To see folks suffer so much with weapon challenges...

Well, I went through an entire game with a Vorcha yesterday and realised after extracting that I'd never fired my gun. So I know what you mean. :)

But if you intend firing the BPP, the stability mod and HVB makes it a very effective proposition on characters who do shoot from time to time.

Yeah, I only mentioned the accuracy boosting classes because they are the usual suspects for weapons with accuracy issues.

Considering the fact that the BPP has a unique feature (7th slug armour-buster), it is very rarely talked about on this forum.  I agree that it's a good fit on the Vorcha Soldier, but my little crazy dude is specced for melee so it doesn't really suit him.

It's a UR, and as such it should be a weapon that I look forward to putting on a kit knowing I'll score at least a bronze kill medal with it.  Other than a TSol or Quarksman, I don't know what that kit is.  The other Turians are obvious contenders, or maybe the Batdept, but I really don't know.  And even if I did put it on a Havoc, for example, I still wouldn't know how to set it up for optimal damage, balancing accuracy, piercing and ammo.

I've found it synergises fairly well with the Batsol.  I was doubling up on Blood Pack Mastery challenges and...well, you're getting in close to the enemy anyway, with the Ballistic Blades, so accuracy isn't really an issue.  I mean, it's not amazing, but it gets the job done.

I usually use the BPP on accuracy boosting classes too, which is usually the Geth Engineer. GE & BPP for me is great when I just want to shoot things without too much worry on accuracy. Pure spray and pray gameplay. ... That and when I need to burn more SMG amps to conserve AR amps.

I point towards the general direction of the enemy and pull the trigger ...

I play for fun, but time after time I look up challenges and try to combine missing ones. Sometimes you get weird combos but that is also fun. For example right now I had a few missing CP on venom and tech armour, so the obvious choice was to play TSent  Valkyrie with venom and I can assure everyone that it was fun.

A few remarks:

Tempest + TSol is god mode on silver (@lolsilver).

Locust + TSol is a headshoting machine, perfectly viable on gold.

BPP + TSol is fun! (claims to the contrary ...)

Cabal BPP. Accuracy boosting on this gun is worthless because it's Vorcha Engineered(™). It will benefit much more from getting in enemy's face with it and unloading that clip in them. There is cute melee for stagger and easy headshot :)

I dont like Suppressor. It looks bad, it feels bad.

Paladin is only for Paladin, but don't score much points with it since it gets fired during cooldowns.

Carnifex? Nah, don't like that one either.

I'm admittedly no headshot expert, but Suppressor and Paladin (and to a lesser extent Carnifex) are headshot machines.

Vanilla Asari Adept + Paladin (formerly Carnifex) is one of the original 'OP' builds, right?

Accuracy issues vanish when the SMG stability mod is applied. It's night and day.

I'm clearly in a minority here, since everyone keeps saying to put it on a Turian. But with the SMG stability mod, the HVB, and Incendiary, it's very effective on the QFE or SE, for example.

I don't. I couldn't care less about challenge points. They make the game a chore, and finding a room that's enjoyable is more than enough work as it is.

I don't obsess over them, but I do see them as a guide in the sense that perhaps I'm over-using certain kits / weapons and ought to experiment with the others.
