I don't obsess over them, but I do see them as a guide in the sense that perhaps I'm over-using certain kits / weapons and ought to experiment with the others.

That's not the points though, that's just the challenges themselves. I used those sporadically too, but discussions on BSN and games I had with people contributed far more to experimentation than the challenges ever could have.

Nah, the key mod for the BPP is the Vorcha - who needs accuracy when... FNNNAAASSH! FNWaaghl, Fhsneeer FshnEAAEERR! RAWHG.

Thanks to marksmad's recommendation, I put it on the Vorcha Soldier and had a seriously destructive time against Reapers.  At one point during an escort I thought the little freak was going to single-handedly break my PS3.  I have a slightly unorthodox build -

http://kalence.drupa...34M54324!EE558G

I found that setup much more effective than using Incendiary ammo and replacing the power amp on the BPP with the HVB - I had 50 smg kills with the former by wave 6, and only managed 25 in the whole game with the latter.  I think he managed 7 medals in both games which to me is a fair reflection of variety and effectiveness.  The only time I missed having a shotgun omniblade was at the very start of waves, as the first melee kill usually took a couple of goes, but after that the damage boost to both further melees and the BPP kept him going nicely.  He's really bonkers, and I can't wait to try him against a BIG MACHINE!!!!!!

It also got me thinking, in a purely hypothetical sense as I'm on PS3, that built this way he must absolutely annihilate Collectors - I mean top tier, premier league annihilation, with ranged attacks from Scions and Praetorians the only things that could possibly slow him down.

(I'll also try the Cabal suggestion, which should be comparable to playing her with a Lancer I guess, which can't be bad.)

Organization and discipline. (Read: OCD) :)

Spoiler

What I'll do with this is pretty much combine whatever kits I'm supposed to get waves and extractions with, with any not-completed weapons that I can make work on them. I try to be lore-correct whenever it's feasible. BPP and Executioner are exclusively carried by Vorcha and Batarians, Krogan get the Graal and Striker, Phoenix bros get Talon and Harrier and so on. Tedious SMGs (Tempest, Locust) tend to end up in the reliable hands of TSol, and tedious ARs (Collector) on TGI. I'll give tedious pistols (Eagle, Phalanx, Suppressor) to the Huntress or the Shadow. This is how I pick weapon & kit for almost all non-challenge games, and how I end up playing platinum pugs with stuff like Viper QFI.

Wow ! That's an organized person ! I more or less use the same weapons with the same characters for challenges, but I don't have a schedule. Men don't do that lol.

About the missiles, is that your strategy for platinum nuking ? And... why is Cerberus in bold ? ^_^  I assume that's because it's your favorite faction.  :P

I've done my share of ****** **** up on London with Inferno Grenades and stuff, but I disavow any responsibility for the Geth. For them I refer you to QMR, whose people created them :D

I do the same without orgnaization and discipline, and nice tables, and role playing ...

Well it's not exactly mine, but yes, it's a nuking strategy. It's for platinum duos, but it works for a solo too, with AC. For some reason I find it hard to remember that it's a good idea to nuke stuff, and even harder to remember when it's a good idea to nuke stuff. :D So I had to write it down. And bold is for whatever faction's on the daily menu; Cerberus just happened to be the last I played against.

Accuracy issues vanish when the SMG stability mod is applied. It's night and day.

I'm clearly in a minority here, since everyone keeps saying to put it on a Turian. But with the SMG stability mod, the HVB, and Incendiary, it's very effective on the QFE or SE, for example.

I was going to point out that with TSol passive bonuses and a stabilization consumable you get 55 + 30 = 85%, compared to the mod which only gives +70%... but then I read elsewhere that the Turian passives don't work off-host, which would explain why my experience with it was so bad.

Playing around with it, HSol with the mod is about the same as TSol on-host without the mod.  TSol, on-host, with the mod and MM active, it's almost pinpoint accurate and rock-steady.

they don't work consistently off-host.  Also, the stability consumable numbers are off.  Fully specced turian stability with the lvl III consumable give 100$% stability.

Only the consumable stab mod doesn't work off host or the class skill passives pts on turian for weapon damage/weapon stability doesn't work offhost as well? Will maxing stab/damage passive on tgi and equipping stab mod iii and host the game make typhoon recoil/bullet spread similar to harrier?
