False advertising it seems.DarthCaine wrote...
They also said that your ME1 will actually make an impact in ME2SithLordExarKun wrote...
They kept rambling about how treating conrad would carry over to the next game, and now they dropped the ball on this one as well.
And for ME1 they said there'll be a customizable MAKO, an interrupt system, destructible environment, that you could leave your armor covered with blood, that each world will be big as Morrowind and long as a KOTOR world and that you could change the appearance of your weapons
Conclusion?

Not likely. Internal miscommunication, or design ideas that didn't work seem more likely,

There is a paragon Conrad. The correct result of bieng nice to him and telling him to go home should cause Conrad to not even be on illium. You should get an email from him telling you how happy he is that your alive and how he created a charity group called Shepards.
And you know this how?

Its in the game files.

Hmm, interesting. In that case, I actually kind of like the glitch because it's far more amusing to run into him playing at intergalactic badass. They should have just altered the one line to explain why your Paragon efforts came to naught.
Im also guessing the news about conrad on illium about his charity is also actually caused by bieng nice to him during the first game. Atleast it makes sense for him to create a charity if you were nice to him during the first game.

Ok, in my ME1 playthrough, i was nice to conrad and chose the pargon option. Now in me2 when i met him in a place i won't say where to spoil, he is being a huge jackass and claimed i shoved a gun in his face the last time we met.
What gives?? Is this a bug?
I think a great many people have made this mistake - and it is a mistake. IMO, it's not a bug, folks just aren't paying attention to what Conrad's saying. Try it again, next time through; and really pay attention: Conrad just says you did, because it makes him look tough.
He's showing the frell off!
It's not a bug, it's a deliberate part of the storytelling.
Just wanted that off my chest - it just really annoys the hell outta me that so many have seemed to just completely miss it.

You would only be right if there wasn't already a Paragon "interaction" with Conrad in the game files, that doesn't properly activate even if you treated him nicely in ME1. It's similar to a lot of the other carry-overs, where ME1 characters send you an e-mail thanking you for whatever you did for them.JakeMacDon wrote...

I guess I'm glad he came to Illium though, I really wanted that discount. I just wish there was a Paragon reason for him to come to Illium. For example, what Didymos said.

I'm just curious if anybody remembers that when you're totally paragon to Conrad in ME1, you pose for a photo with your gun extended. Considering that Conrad is a little... fuzzy in the head, he might just be remembering that whole interaction wrong for the purpose of his new-found badassery.
No, it's a ****ing glitch, plain and simple.
