...and this doesn't. You have decided that anything wrong with the game is the effect of MP despite plenty of proof and examples of how it isn't. The most baleful influence on this game isn't DAMP it is Skyrim so go vent your hatred at that steaming pile of a single player only grindy MMO-ish POS. Playing DAMP there is nothing about it that feels like "ooooh, wow that is a great feature for MP" instead it feels like you are fighting against a SP experience that has been awkwardly ported into MP.

And vice versa.

So, to answer the thread's question: very good idea.

Yes, please.

The very reason they add MP is to add replayability (and a "healthy" bit of freemium transactions) and keep as many as possible copies of the game out of the second hand market during the first year. According to the executibots purely SP games do not push sales enough because of lack of replayability and resale of once played copies (most people only play the SP part once... When they finish it).

Separating the two would defeat the purpose of MP according to the executibots directives.

I think for the most part SP people are SP people, and mutliplayer people are multiplayer people.

I personally would like to see the SP game sold for a reduced price and then MP could be a charged DLC that is released whenever it is ready.

I have played DA:I's multiplayer only once and it was bad enough for me not to go back. It was basically a pick up group where everyone ran off in different directions to attack everything. We also seemed quite different levels because one of the other player seemed to on-shot kill everything before I could even take a swing.

Personally, I think mp and so should be integrated even more. For instance, all the mp characters are actual mini characters. They're all preset, with their own personalities and beliefs. So why not scatter them throughout the so game and make them actual NPC's? This is where the war table could truly have shined. The inquisitor has missions on the war table and the player can then play those missions in the mp with other players. How cool would that be? Of course you could have the option to send forces to do it for you if you don't want to play. And that could be a risk/reward thing. Not playing and sending forces means you finish the mission exactly as you want, but you get a base reward. Playing in mp could mean extra gold for bonuses or materials for upgrading.

...Ahum... Exerted semantics don't represent plenty of proof or examples for anything. And Skyrim is a great game. If you don't think so, it's because you're playing it wrong (and that takes some doing since you can play it in so many ways). DA Inquisition is also a great game. But everything isn't great. Combat for example is indifferent action.

The thing that seem to escape you, is that once you decide to have MP, you have to design a combat gameplay that is compatible with MP. This excludes traditional RPG gameplay and basically everything that can be interesting, and leaves us with the stuff of ME3 and DA:I. I get that this doesn't bother you. In fact it seems to bother you so little you don't even notice.
