Thanks DG for all of your hard work and contributions to Dragon Age. Also, thank you for all the time you have spent over the years on the DA forums interacting with fans. I wish you the best in your future endeavors!

I sincerely hope DG is teaming up with Laidlaw and Lukas to make Jade Empire 2.

Thats what we're doing right, Jade Empire 2?

Unfortunately I ambled into the other thread first, so forgive me for pasting those comments here: "If true, this thread is the first indication that I've seen, heard, or read that he is leaving, and that being the case I have to add that there are just some things that are inappropriate as a response. David Gaider has been a large part of the Dragon Age franchise, and no matter how anyone feels about his departure personally, airing dirty laundry contributes nothing.

Thanks, Mr. Gaider! I've enjoyed the games a lot and appreciate everything that you brought to Bioware. Good luck in the future!"

I am happy to be posting in this thread and focusing on the positive.  Gaider was the lead writer for this series and his efforts led the way to the creation of an amazing fantasy world that I have lost hundreds and hundreds of hours in.  There have been a missteps along the way, but overall, he did a really awesome job.  I look forward to seeing how the world evolves under Weekes' leadership and I especially look forward to seeing what's next for Gaider with this new IP.

I feel I ought to blame Mr. Gaider for all the time I've spent playing DAI instead of studying for my midterms; just to keep this thread more in the spirit of the BSN :P But thank you David Gaider, for your contribution to this wonderful series. Can't wait to see what comes next!

I'm saddened that he is leaving this project, but glad he is staying with BioWare. His views on how they bring content to people show incredible leadership and bravery, and I hope that they put his talents to good use elsewhere.

Like others posters have already said, I feel both sad and happy. Sad because Dragon Age will lose one of its "fathers" and happy because we'll probably have one more promising IP.

I'm more interested in the upcoming project . What will he be working on? Another RPG?

My interest in Dragon Age was waning so I'm kind of excited to see what his work on the next IP will be, but I still hope Dragon Age does well without him.

He did write many of my favorite conversations in DA:I and I can't begin to describe how much I liked Cassandra as a character, so I admire his talent, and wish him luck.

Sad about this, I loved his writing, for me he is a big reason why Dragon Age is so great.

David Gaider is like Eminem and Dragon Age is like Hip Hop. It won't be the same when he's gone!

Thanks for the excellent foundation, and best of luck in helping to establish a new one.

I'm sure DA is in good hands, but you will be missed.
