Alright, I can't possibly be the only person who finds it jarring when your character ferociously screams "Die!" or "Goodbye!" after killing a helpless animal like the Snowfleur. It's a small thing, but it's incredibly noticeable when you're out gathering leather.

If your Inquisitor does not brutally murder all nugs & fennecs you're playing the game wrong.

My inky never kills animals, unless they attack first (and sometimes not even then), so no, it doesn't bother me. ^_^

The combat targeting system kills animals. The following scene has happened dozens of times to my inquisitor.

Venatori spellbinder: *arcane babble*
Inquisitor: "grappling chain time!"
Fennec: "yip yip yip yip"

That moment when time slows down and you watch the chain's hook hit the little furball no matter how certain you were that you actually targeted the enemy caster...

Hawke was way better at battlecries and such.

I think it's funny that the PC says that if you kill a nug, but if Varric or Cass are in your party, you'll actually lose a little bit of approval.

Varric: "C'mon, they're harmless."

Cassandra: "Was that really necessary?"

 Never happened to me. In fact Cassandra is mainly the one who likes this sport.

Happened to me early on, while in the Hinterlands.  I wasn't expecting it.  She doesn't care if you kill anything else.   <shrug>

I could be mistaken.  It's been a bit since I played the game, and I'm patiently awaiting the modders to be able to update.  I won't stare at beige pajamas for another 40 hours again, so I'm playing my GBA and PSP in the meantime.

I killed so many animals by mistake.. Nothing like targeting that small fluffy thing in mid combat with Red Templars, only to have your team run off over a mountain after a deer while i'm left to solo a group of bandits....

Ah Dragon Age Inquisition..

Yeah happens to me all the time.

I'm most amused by how my Inquisitor sounds when she says, "One down!!" then straight after that Sera, "Eat it, eat it!!!"

It's hilarious if you picked the English voice.

I'm thinking yeah, hardcore bitches... not.

Not one I'm complaining about though.

There are three nugs in Old Crestwood cave where you close the main rift. If you approach them, party members will comment (Cassandra remembers Leliana's pet nug, for example). If you kill them, everybody disapproves. Other than that, I never saw companions going mad about Inquisitor killing animals.

What I find more annoying is when animals sometimes take damage (not from combat) and become hostile. Everybody starts to chase them, and unless you kill the poor thing or run away really far, you are considered in combat and can't do anything.
