Looks like all the materials and items that previously had +Bleed on them now have +Sunder. Does that property work now, if anyone tested it already? Is it a "chance to apply"? How much does it sunder for? Does it stack?
Bleed chance changed to Sunder chance in Patch 5?

Bleed chance always sundered.

Maybe it did, but all the threads about game mechanics described it as "not working". Does renaming it now signifies that it was fixed?

No, it just clarifies how it always worked.Maybe it did, but all the threads about game mechanics described it as "not working". Does renaming it now signifies that it was fixed?
The posts assumed it wasn't working (because it never did any sort of bleeding damage or effect), but it was noted a while back that it was actually causing sunder instead. Updating the text now confirms that this is the intended behavior.
As to whether the sundering is cumulative, or even what is its duration or amount, who knows.

I feel really stupid, but can somebody please explain what this does? I looked up the word in a dictionary and I still don't get it.

Check this thread for info. It "causes targets armor value to be decreased by 20% for 6 seconds". Seems to be differing views on if it stacks or not.

Sunder is a re-use of a WOW term named after an iconic warrior ability. In general I treat it as if it stacks and therefore is much superior to just Armor Penetration. I do know that Sunder from the rogue passive Cheap Shot stacks.

It stacks, I put it on all of my party and, with 2 or three, or even all 4 getting it at once, mobs go down FAST and, the status text tells me how many Sunders get applied. I rarely see all 4 but 2-3 is common for me.

Why didn't they call it sunder to begin with?
Because DA:O had Bleeding as a status effect and I guess people complained that DA:2 dropped it? Continuity? I dunno.
On PC, they missed quite a few of the references to "bleeding" in description texts. Do any crafting and you'll see "Sunder" on the description on the right, but "Bleeding" on the left/bottom description.
