Am I the only one who thinks it unfortunate that players are limited to materials they actually have to recolor armor rather than have the entire gamut of choices? It's only colors. It's not like you're changing the quality of the armor.

What? You can. I was very much tinting ugly hats yesterday. You just go to helmet- tab and slap some color in.
Other than that- I think it's logical that you can color with fabrics/metals/leathers you posses.
I'm not even touching this topic in terms of complaints. I am so overjoyed we can finally tint armor. No more pink hats for my male inquisitor when I want to use dawnstone, ETC. A full color spectrum option replacing the single resource slot would be an ideal replacement, but I'm content with this.
Also, you can recolor helmets. Usually just drop something in the cloth section. You don't have to fill all four (and shouldn't). Just drop a single crafting resource into the slot that colors it.
Fantastic. I haven't played yet since downloading the patch but this sounds great. I always was irritated when I couldn't match armor colors.
Ditto. I love the coloring system myself too. My personal weakness is shazzzam-yellow ...is it King's Willow Weave. I am thrilled even to think about it.
I was checking out the tinting in-between jobs and forgot to click on helmets. Duh.
The colors I see as dyes/enamels rather than the actual materials, which is why I wish we had access to all of them. I am happy to be able to change them at all, though. Now Vivienne is in full plaid weave.

Unfortunately just armor. 
No, it only take ONE of each mat to tint and, you can tint headwear except Vitaars of course, it's great as it is.

You aren't the only one, but I'm still pleased to be able to re-colour armour at all. I suspect this was the simplest way to make it work within the existing structure.

Yes, Skyhold only. Its actually very cool. I am very pleased. You can finally match all your armor pieces and outfit. Its a good addition.

I haven't played the game since the announcement of the Black Emporium but I've tried the tinter and it is really cool you can make your armor look really look really amazing.
