The keep has details of playthroughs from years ago on it, but not ones I made this year.

I played through DA:O and forced myself to play through DA:2 in order to have saves to import into the keep.

But now the keep does not register my DA:O saves or my DA:2 saves

Of the old saves from years ago it has no information about the playthroughs beyond thier names, and picks some random woman that I never played as my default for the world states

And of the DA:2 save it just has a random set of options that by and large are completely wrong.  Prettymuch the only correct part is the class.

Since I have tried every fix that I have seen posted and none have worked, it looks like I am going to be forced to manually set every option.  I am wondering beyond the correct name and appearance for my warden, am I losing out on anything?

Also why could bioware not just have saves be imported..?!

Also one of the options in the keep is that you saved both Amaranthine and Vigils keep.

That isnt possible in game is it?

You always have to set every option for DAO and DA2 as the choices you made were not uploaded. All you get from uploading a DAO or DA2 char that you can not otherwise get is a char portrait.

And yes you can save both by choosing the city and getting all upgrades for the Keep. Wasn't properly recognized in DA2, but it was in the DAA epilogue slides.

Edit: As for why Bioware didn't do save imports. Some data was messed up in DAO to DA2 import and some data they may have eventually wanted was shed then also. Plus save independent system allows for people to change platforms.

Don't really think appearance matters much anyway either. If ever there was a sequel/prequel etc. to inquisition (most likely PS4/PC/Xbone) you'd likely have to recustomize your warden/hawke anyway.

Thanks for the answers fellas.  I was just worried because I keep seeing that the keep has something like 300+ data points, but you only set like 60 or so when setting up your profile.  And some of the things mentioned in Varric's reading of the tapestry conflict with the DA:O ending slides (such as the fate of the Urn).

Also I got all keep upgrades and it still counted as destroyed for me.  How odd.

DAO epilogue slides are retconned to being rumors and nothing more.

There are a couple other things you have to do like seal the tunnels. If everything is done right, the epilogue slides will indicate those left behind managed to barely survive and the Keep barely held (although I think some chars might still die in the epilogue, but most don't). However DA2 will not recognize both being saved, counting it only as the city being saved.

No I meant as in I couldnt travel back and assault the darkspawn attacking the keep, and the the map icon registered destroyed.  Didnt mean the slides and such.

Always thought it was odd that we just left the keep to its own devices when we had an army if we had upgraded the keep to survive.  If that is what counts as them both being saved though :D.
