Fired up a new game and was fighting the Venatori and noticed that she was fighting with them against me. Is this the same Fiona that leads the mages?
Why is Fiona among the Venatori "In Your Heart Shall Burn"?

"Why is Fiona among the Venatori "In Your Heart Shall Burn"?"
Why? Because actions have consequences.
Action: Allowing yourself to willingly become a slave to a Tevinter magister.
Consequence: She's dead, Jim.

I never notice her because I let my companions fight off the bad guys while I keep turning the darn thing, and then its over before she appears. Lol

I wonder how long it will be until someone come off and say she was brainwashed without any proof.

It was really stupid of her to become that desperate. I would like to agree with brainwash theories but eventually she deserves it.

She didn't side with the Venatori until Alexius worked his time travel magic and then manipulated her. I don't need specific proof to believe that a magister from Tevinter who could manipulate time could also maneuver her into that situation. If the Fiona who met you in Val Royeaux wasn't a demon then she seems to have been doing fine until Alexius came along.

Fiona in Val Royeaux is just simply Fiona. The one who wants to help, but then Alexius changed time and so she doesn't remember meeting you since it never happened for her and she felt he was her last chance. If you side with the Templars, I'm guessing her desperate need to help her people made her join Corypheus. Just what I think though.

Fiona is among the Venatory because DA writers handed her the idiot ball. She is an excellent example for straw-man argument.
It was not bad judgment on her part, it was a force-major (writer) that made the decision for her, despite her having no real reason to go that far and actually cooperate in such fashion against those that try to close the frickin hole in the sky - even if you buy her decision to join the shiftiest,
mustachio-twirling, cartoonish Megister ever - which is implausible in itself.

She's the mini-boss battle because she's stupid enough to believe that the Tevinter magister appearing out of nowhere (with news that she could have but didn't verify in one of two ways - either with her own mages or by asking Arl Teagan to send out his scouts) didn't have an ulterior motive. Fiona sweetheart? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I never feel sorry for Fiona, only for the mages she betrayed.

It was a disgrace how Fiona's death was handled. She deserved a special cut scene when she entered the battle to make it clear that you were fighting the Fiona and when you kill her, there should have been maybe another cut scene or at least some comments acknowledging her death. Instead she is just some mini-boss and I didn't even realize she was initially there since I was preoccupied with other enemies.
For such an important character in the Dragon Age lore, she deserved more.

I more or less was disappointed with Carroll's death. He was so funny in DAO and he dies as a monster without anything except Cullen asking you to make it quick because he once knew him.

yeah but I always saw him as a peripheral character. Reading up on Fiona, I found out that she is a central character in some of the DA books. I had no idea who she was initially since I never read them but when I read about her history, I was like "dang, she is a big deal".

Yes it was surprising how easily she's killed, but when I think back on DAO and killing Zevran, Wynne, Shale or Leliana, and even your companions in DA2 if they turn on you at the end, this isn't as shocking despite her hype.

Considering Patrick Weekes outright supports using the guide, I'd say that's a pretty safe bet but lately, I know that logic is irrelevant to you people who would rather stick your fingers in your ears and ignore anything that contradicts your foolish notions.

Because he doesn't have any. Shame that templar supporters need to make up stuff just to make the mage side look bad. SMH
