Wait, Weekes supports he guide? Why are we still arguing about this if a dev supports it.

Yup he does, https://twitter.com/...201854241861632

Since Weekes is now lead writer, what he says goes now.

If he's wrong, why can't you show proof?

>>>Can't remember<<<<, but if guide says so, >>>>I assume<<<<.>>>>Could also check with @davidgaider :)<<<<

Because he doesn't have any. Shame that templar supporters need to make up stuff just to make the mage side look bad. SMH

O.o Her not being brainwashed doesn't make the mages look bad. I really don't get why mage supporters care about this point.

I mean if Fiona was in command then it would show far too much for sight for me to believe she came up with the plan, but she isn't so we don't need to explain away the competence of the planning of the attack.

Because the mage rebellion is led by morons, and Fiona is their queen.

And the Templars were lead by a bunch of corrupt idiots who had no problem helping a DEMON and DARKSPAWN MAGISTER despite their job being to fight those two people.  Mages did something stupid out of desperation, templars had no reason to support people who directly go against their jobs.

Bright side, you side with the Templars you get to kill the stupid people on both sides of the conflict!

Actually, a banter Denam has with Ruth if both are imprisoned has him say that the other officers who tried to corrupt the Templars got away. So no, you don't kill them all if you side with the templars.

Yeah, with the exception of those who died at the Conclave, the templar leaders were idiots and betrayed their man.

I never seen someone saying otherwise.

Because word got back to her that Vivienne said that she was old and needed to have been forcibly retired long ago. She was like "Orly? Well, you guys can suck it! I'm joining the other side. I'll show you!"

Tldr: it's totally Viv's fault.

Who said the officers weren't corrupt? Those who knowingly took red lyrium while aware of its effects deserve to die.

Archdemon was pointing his own double standard, because no one said the templars leaders were good.

Templar supporters just being templars.  Narrow mindedness and only their version of events is the truth.

I have a hard time believing Fiona would willingly take part in such an attack. The story in my head is that she was possessed or whatevs, and that's the only story that matters to me.

And they escape if you side with the Templars. Also, what do you think is going to happen to mages like Connor or Sketch?

If Divine Leliana doesn't backfire, it will pretty much destroy their entire arguments. I hope that day comes soon :)

Im pretty sure they are killed.

Connor and Sketch fled, are dead or joined the Venatori, but why are you mentioning them?

What double standard ? I prefer when people don't put words in my mouth?

Not all of them. Quite a few die at Therinfal, and you get to kill Denam afterward. Also, by going to Therinfal, I save the lower-ranking knights who were being tricked into taking red lyrium by their superiors.

If they're smart, they leave Redcliffe. Anyone else who willingly joins the Venatori deserves death.

Don't worry mighty Archdemon, templar supporters can't handle the truth so they have to make things up. Come join the mage side, the only side that has really matters.

While recent posts have lessened my opinion of them, I don't think insulting them makes your side any better.

I'm a neutral pro-Mage right now. You really aren't making me go full pro-mage

Both sides do stupid things, which is why I prefer conscription for both. Neither one deserves freedom after the chaos and destruction they have sown.

Having said that, I think the Templars come off as slightly more sympathetic than the mages in DA:I. The mage rebels ally with the Venatori and Corypheus of their own free will, whereas the Red Templars are more of a case of a Dragon Age version of indoctrination.

Considering what occurred in Asunder, the templars could have just stopped the war but no, they fought and killed mages. I don't really have much sympathy for them after reading the book. As far as I'm concerned, every reasonable templar already left the Order by the time of Inquisition. Thus, I have no problem letting the Templar Order get wiped out and permanently disbanded.

Also, the corrupt Templar leadership pretty much confirmed every negative thing I ever thought about the Templars. No way I would ever help them after seeing how idiotic the leadership was. The mages were desperate. The Templars had no go reason to be morons. What logical reason could the templar leadership have for siding with demons and magisters? That says more about the Templars than I ever could say.

Why? The Inquisition has just sided with the Templars and Fiona just sold her right to self determination away. What reason would she have to object to taking part in a military operation against the Templar's allies when the other hypothetical place she should have been expecting to be shipped is the front lines of the Qunari war. So even if she had a choice, I would think she would prefer the one where she gets to scream mage liberation rather that please don't gouge me with your horns.

I thought "The Calling" made it rather clear that Fiona would under no circumstances willingly help a darkspwn magister and it's at least implied that the rebell mages were mind controlled. But in the end, you can headcanon whatever you want (or simply side with the mages, their mission is better anyway ;) ).
