Watch the full video guide here

This isn't going to be a full guide for the Archer but mostly focusing on what the best Accessories and Armor Upgrades there is for the Archer. Hopefully this helps out any newer players or people just getting into the character.

Best Belt: Belt of Health, easily the best belt in the game, which any character should be using. The amount of health you get far outweighs any of the other stats the other belts provide.

Alternate Belts: If you don't have Belt of health or you have gotten other superb belts there's two that people like to use, Belt of Range Defense or Belt of Fire Resistance is your best bet. BORD offers you more survivablilty when you're getting pelted with arrows, which if you play correctly should be the only thing that's really hitting you most of the time. Belt of Fire Resistance is really only for those annoying fire wraiths, one shot from them and you could be out of the game or forced to use a potion.

Best Rings: In my opinion there's is 4 viable rings for the archer, the two that stand out are Life-Drain Ring and Longshot Ring. The core of the archer is spamming longshots combined with opportunity knocks, you'll be doing that 90% of the time. The longshot ring gives you a huge boost in that abilities damage output. The Life-Drain Ring is used to obviously "get life back", you'll find as an archer you'll be drawing most of the aggro in the game, sometimes its hard to avoid damage and getting life back can be huge in staying alive and not wasting potions.

Alternate Rings: You can swap out the Life-Drain ring for a Critical Chance Ring (Always keep longshot ring) if you're confident you can stay alive. This is what I personally use, but for the majority of people the Life- Drain ring is the better choice. However once you're chunking enemies with longshot and almost one shotting everything, Life-Drain ring just holds you back from more potential damage output.

Alternate No Life 150+ Cunning Rings: This applies to very few people, but eventually people will get to this point. If you have promoted enough Rogues 150+ times, for one you should probably find a job, and also you obviously wont need Crit Chance Ring, switch it out for a Critical Damage Ring.

Best Amulet: Cooldown Amulet,  very good for any character really, but the Archer shines with it, anything to spam longshots faster is going to make the character that much stronger.

Alternate Amulet: Amulet of Cunning if you dont have the CA, crit chance is very good with the archer so this is definitely the seconds choice, if you have neither of these opt for the Amulet of Willpower.

Armor Upgrades: This is actually an easy one, when upgrading armor go for pure damage output cunning/willpower. The resistances you get will not help much compared to just opting for more damage.

If you want to see how all these work together you can watch one of my Archer Perilous gameplays here

Id suggest adding superb amulet of stamina as an alt too... I sometimes find myself running low on stamina even with passives

not sure who this is intended for.

1.) new players won't have *any* of this stuff you talk about.  so not sure how this helps.

2.) players who already have all this stuff should probably already know to put them on.

I made this guide after someone asked me about this

Amulet of Dexterity for Critical Damage Bonus is another option for archers.

I also quite like the Belt of Spirit Resistence too. Makes the last Demon Zone even more trivial than it is.

not working.. but w/e... *except the last patch did fix it..*still a crapy belt compared to 10% mdef *since walking through a demonmap you will meet every single element.....*

I like Superb stamina amulet way more than Cooldown amulet on Archer.

HoK ring is mandatory for me,although with  good babysitter Critical damage/LR would be great.

Good job OP, I have to agree that stamina amulet is my preference, playing the archer correctly you will be spamming LS without the need for a cooldown amulet. I find you don't need the stamina on kill passive as I get more than enough from the stamina on crit passive. 1 more point to spec into something else :)

most important accessory: pillow. because you know you just want to play this class on auto-pilot. (and you really can't go without for those 150 promotions)

I've only recently reached 100 WP myself. I know, I am lazy and don't play AW all the time like other people. I like Katari and Warrior classes too much. Unlike certain other players, I don't have 100+ cunning either. I don't think I even have 50. Maybe 40+.

The stats are less useful than playing on your favorite / most fun kits, and choosing the kits that synergize with your team however. Playing a specific role works better within a team, as opposed to going AW all the time. Reaver + Ele = amazingly fast clears. CC Keeper + anything = Hurray! . . because CC. Sooo many more things that work together better than Cookie cutter SB AW.

What're you talking about ? 30% SR Belt worked fine. On demon's there's only two elements to worry about for an archer. Spirit and Fire. Fire only for the first two zones, due to wraiths becoming fire after passing fire demons causing the immolate burning effect. You'll still want both fire and spirit resist pots. Despair demons can be sniped easily. 10% MR doesn't help much against fire and doesn't work against spirit. The 30% FR belt would be useful in the first two zones, but the 30% spirit resist belt is useful throughout. Most importantly for the DC spirit damage pop-up attack, and the stray wraith ranged spirit damage hits.

:)  Had to smile at this.  I joke to myself that I am playing using my righthand only, spamming long shot and some movement, while the left is busy autoloading pizza into my hungry face, throughout the whole match.

Actually the best stat to go for for any character on armor upgrades is Attack%. Willpower and the class's base damage stat only increase Attack by .5% per point, while a +1% to Attack raise it by, big surprise, 1%.

Edit: Wait, it just occurred to me I don't remember if there were +Attack% buffs on armor, or just on weapons. Either way, if it's available, it's the way to go.
