Spiders and bugs can be but spiders are not nearly as weird to me as some bugs like Jerusalem crickets and stuff.
I find 2 or 3 of these in the house every year:
Sometimes they find their way into my room since I'm up late with the light on and the door open. I'm not sure how they keep getting in, they never used to do that. It's a good thing I don't have any phobias. ![]()
Speaking of spiders:
Oh god, what is that? It gets in your bedroom? Have you considered burning your sheets?
I gotta stay out of this thread. It's gonna give me nightmares.
And good call on walmart, gmagz. That place also give me panic attacks.
I also have full blown ichthyphobia (Fear of Fish)

I call those Potato Bugs. That video made me feel sad for the little potato ![]()
Oh and my parents call them, Niños de la tierra, or children of the dirt. They say they're called that because they look like a little human baby when you find them while digging in the garden. They are certainly freaky looking.
Speaking about all these new phobias...
I have LargoCatophobia, Sharkophobia and Bearophobia cuz they're savage and strong.

Those aren't phobias.
Jerusalem crickets have scary faces. My cat once brought one into the house, and I found it stuck on it's back, half alive and staring up at me. In that moment, it's face was very uncanny valley. They look a little like human skulls, but also insect like.
It reminded me of the Creeper, as in Jeepers. Ick.
I'm pretty claustrophobic, and even though I'm much to old for this, my imagination still tries to play tricks on me in the dark.
No phobias really, but snakes make me uncomfortable.

Is it weird that I find him cute?....

I always thought they were sandgropers but they look more like mole crickets. They're terrible climbers so you don't have to worry about finding them in your bed. They look nasty but they're harmless.
I read they can bite, and despite it being unlikely, it is painful

Angle can make a difference. As does whether or not it's sunk it's monster fangs into your flesh.

Sharks and generally just swimming in the ocean.

I think I have this phobia too. Sharks scares me to death for some reason and the fear of drowning.

Sharks, I forgot about the sharks. Jump right in, the water is nice and cool.

These are cute too. Step-on material.

Don't forget spiders that can disguise themselves to look like the bark of a tree.
