I enjoyed Krem as a character.
Particularly the love of standing on chairs. That was cool.

The important part is not disrespecting tamrassans who have sex as part of their role just because they have that role.
I would disrespect them enough to try talking them out of it. And to tell them they're better than that. And that their entire way of life and culture is complete dog sh*t.
edit: Well, technically.. it's bullsh*t, isn't it?

I bet you'd love my dog then.

Moreso than any other qunari? I mean, I hate the Qun, but this strikes me as cultural imperialism of the "I'll tell you your values are worse than mine without objective proof" variety.
I don't see anyone annoyed by Krem's presence. The only thing annoying is how dishonest people are about it all.
If anything the majority of people are indifferent, including myself. Wouldn't have given a thought to Krem if it weren't for these boards. It's like playing Mass Effect and finding out the two guard soldiers for the war room have a huge fanbase.
Hey now, I was a huge fan of guard #1. Not so much of guard #2. He always seemed a bit, well shifty.
Lol

Damn right. Thanks for noticing ![]()
I see nothing but conflict betwen my own mentality and qunari. And they do as well. It's an understanding, I guess.

People are viewing the Qunari from the wrong lens. They're closer to an ant hill/farm than any real world society. Tamassran is probably the most respected role in Qunari society so them putting out as a duty is a minuscule thing if a thing at all.

I honestly wouldn't care. I will gladly tell every last qunari their way of life is crap and they're all a bunch of drones. Slaves without chains. Usually.

I'm not disrespecting them. In fact, I see that retcon as being disrespectful to them thus why I hate that particular retcon.

You just want to take advantage of this scenario, don't you?

And I will disagree. Sex outside the confines of marriage, or even a loving relationship, is not a non-respectable thing to do.

Lets not pretend this is just being promiscuous, lol.

So you are fine with women being used for sex without their consent? After all, you can't change your role in the Qun so they have no say in the matter.
With Krem it was I think the second conversation I'd had with them and all of a sudden I'm trapped in a very uncomfortable conversation with someone I barely know.
This. I felt bad for Krem that the writers did that to him.

I'm curious if this is just a generational difference going on.
Like, how many Gen Y posters are here? I could've sworn they had a greater capacity for tolerance. It's a postmodern generation. "Everything's valid in some light."
Blah.
I'm gen-X. Excuse me while I go blow my brains out with a shotgun. Or maybe just brood. ![]()
Meh, I'm a magister b. Tamassrans'll probably end up as slaves after Tevinter rises to crush the Qunari.
The Qunquisition will crush you Vints before you have the chance.

@Rekkampum: The way they've gone about this 'representation' is awkward, though. Randomly bringing up that you've got breasts (?) in conversation for no real reason, when it's likely assumed that you're a man anyway, is not the way I'd have gone about it. If there had been an option to refer to Krem accidentally as a woman in a conversation, and then having Krem's response be something like, "No, I'm a man actually", would have been much better, if you ask me. As it is, it's just awkward and unnatural.

It's a joke, I swear. I'll be alive tomorrow
Just think this has run it's course.
