I have a question, if a transgender Qunari warrior is selected to mate, he would mate with a woman or with a man?
If its about mating, wouldn't it be whichever result produces a child?

He would be required to mate with another transgender obviously.
But wouldnt he be considered a man? Or the Qun make this distinction?
I have to assume the Qunari obviously recognize what produces a child despite whatever gender the individual Qunari associates with.
If they bred them like dogs, they need to get rid of the horns. They serve no evolutionary purpose on a humanoid.
How incredibly offensive and short sighted. Of course they serve an evolutionary purpose.
You always have a place to hang your coat.
"Random qunari #43, you are going to mate with Random qunari #21"I have to assume the Qunari obviously recognize what produces a child despite whatever gender the individual Qunari associates with.

Just imagine how much fun that health class must be...
"Random qunari #43, you are going to mate with Random qunari #21"
"But isnt Random qunari #21 a man too?"
"Yes, and he will be the carry your child."
The Qun is strange sometimes.
The USPS says it best:

Do it for the Qun!
Gendered nouns and pronouns are the bane of language. Arbitrary grammatical gender/noun class is stupid. Case would more than suffice and is easier to handle as language evolves.
Why is that, exactly?
I think that not all tamassrans perform that service, and I don't think that one is prevented from ever being able to change a position within a role. Otherwise, there'd be no promotions or demotions.
The Arishok said that you had no choice in your role, but you had choices within the role to succeed or fail.
I'm curious if this is just a generational difference going on.
Like, how many Gen Y posters are here? I could've sworn they had a greater capacity for tolerance. It's a postmodern generation. "Everything's valid in some light."
Blah.
I'm gen-X. Excuse me while I go blow my brains out with a shotgun. Or maybe just brood.
I'm a gen-x'er myself, and it's funny but my experience has been that it's usually the ones who claim to be the most tolerant who generally turn out to be the least tolerant of anything that doesn't fit their world view. Ironic really.

Why not?
No real reason. Just not a fan of her. Typical Tevinter Imperium magister, and everything negative that comes with it.
So am I. Why does no one ever make a thread about me? ![]()
I wonder why people are suprised that Krem has fans and say it's only because he's transgender. Have they not see how much fans some minor characters, even more minor than Krem have had? Bann Teagan, Cullen (during DAO and DA2), Dagna (DAO) and Tamlen, Ser Barris etc. You didn't have many scenes with those characters, but still they have fans. So how love towards Krem is weird compared to those? Because he's transgender and obviously people only like him because of that? ![]()

Not to mention everyone is obsessed with Harding and we learn more about Krem (and much more interesting things at that) than we ever learn about Harding.
I suppose the same people could also find that and obsessing over minor NPCs in general also ridiculous, yet it does always seem to be centered around his gender identity which makes the concern dubious.

I don't think she's typical though. She didn't seem all that impressed or buddy buddy with her peers (in the comics). Seemed a little more independent.
If Varric likes her, there must be something more down to earth about her..

Hanako doesn't seem like anyone who's not entirely squeaky clean and spotless, so it's probably no going to matter very much.
He's alright. Had some funny moments together with Bull and the other charges I thought.

Yep and people like Harding mostly because she's cute dwarf you can flirt with. So why they demand more personality from Krem and say we don't know enough about him ^^; I understand that there are people who can't understand love towards any minor character and that's okay, but the amount of people who love Harding and then dismiss love towards Krem cause he's minor character is baffling.

I think Harding is a little more prevalent. She's minor, but still a staple of the Inquisition. And you get to talk to her more.
She even gets a quick cut scene of her falling back when Corypheus decides to turn what remains of the Temple of Sacred Ashes into a floating arena.

I miss Dog, come to think of it. Way stronger than any other minor character.
Too bad the dog is probably dead by now.

Krem is the best.
