Tactics

And adding my own Attributes..

This also! I really miss the potion and attack wheels from Origins and being able to have multiple specialisations, being able to pick what I want to improve (strength, stealth, health etc) rather than just picking a skill.

Personally I breathed a sigh of relief that I wouldn't have to care about putting points in attributes (either haphazardly or following a guide, whatever). That's one element of RPG that I personally love seeing not involved with things. And you still gain points optionally, through certain quests and explorations, etc.

Flemeth promised us a cataclysm in DA2. It didn't turn out to be mages versus templars -- at least not on-screen. Was she referring to Corypheus? But no, when she shows up this time, she again refers to the "coming storm." (Paraphrased -- I don't remember the exact words.) I'm beginning to feel like BW is trolling us.

I never thought it would be the Mage vs Templars, but the consequence of that conflict.

The Breach was a cataclysm and there is a coming storm to usher in the new age, yes.

The Herald was a harbinger of the new age.

The next game will be the arrival of the new age.

The 5th game will be the start of the new age.

Just guessing.

Bioware peeps claim that they have 5-6 games planned, but lore open for more (paraphrase).

DA2 Flemeth speaks of being on the precipice of change, the world fearing the inevitable plummet into the abyss.

I wonder what was the abyss in DAI.

I wonder what Solas plans.

Planned? As in, they have ideas for them before they begin production? Are we talking about the same Bioware?

Yes.

Ideas.

I'm not talking about fully mapped out plots, jeez.

They did for Mass Effect too. Really. Ideas.

Maybe I should have been clearer. Of course the devs decide what to do, game by game. These are 2-4 year projects after all.

I wanted to do one of these things (Endgame spoilers):

1: Join Corypheus
2: Replace Corypheus
3: Dissolve the Chantry
4: Destroy the Chantry
5: Use my mark to enter the Black City
6: Use the Inquisition for my own ends in the ending (go conquer)

I didn't get even ONE of the things I wanted with Inquisition.

Bioware's new slogan should be "Be who you want to be... unless you don't want to roleplay the linear narrow path with no options we gave you - in which case you are out of luck".

Still love DA: Inquisition as a game.
But its a horrible role-playing game.

Are you playing a role or are you not playing a role?

Everything from Awakening seems to be forgotten or abandoned or put off till the future. The Architect and all the characters. We got to see Nathaniel in DA2, but that was it. DA Keep doesn't even have a section for Awakening companions, so there is no way to indicate whether or not they became wardens and if they survived the end of Awakening.

I need more resolution for Awakening arcs.

This i agree seeing that Oghren wasn't even mentioned at all in DA2 and DAI. Plus Bodahn and Sandal not being where we were specifically told to expect them (Celene's court in Orlais) at the conclusion of DA2 is insulting! How could the writers be that stupid to forget that? Do they think that we the players are that dumb to not noticed this?

After the news of the players being able to travel to Orlais for DAI; I assumed Sandal and Bohdan would have been in the game; considering how Bohdan mentions in DA2 that is where they were going.

When the game came out, there was no Bohdan and Sandal, I was disappointed. Granted it was nice seeing Dagna again, but I would have preferred to have the father/son duo back for the third installment. I went back and played DA2 and was over-joyed to see Bohdan and Sandal. Such a shame they were not in DAI.

Oh and 1 spell i REALLY miss most from Origins is Animate Dead: The caster summons a skeleton minion from the corpse of a fallen enemy to fight alongside the party for a short time, although, as a puppet of the caster, it will not use any talents or spells without specific instruction. The corpse used in the summoning determines the type of skeleton summoned (Warrior, Rogue or Mage).

Sten being the new Arishok. Qunari in general, I find them interesting personally. Thought there would be a bit more to the war table as well. Would have liked these to be side quests as opposed to the actual side quests we got. (I'd prefer to have met with Alistair/Anora myself for example rather than chasing a halla around a field or escorting a druffalo back home...) Thought we'd be able to send companions out to some war table quests so they're not just sat doing sod all when they're not in your party. Thought there would be more to the keeps as well.

Sandal and the Architect for sure. The Architect was fascinating to me and I want to see more of him.

Also, it would be cool to be able to play the evil path. What if I wanted to make a character who wanted to join the Venatori and unearth the magical secrets of Tevinter or destroy the Inquisition from the inside? Calpernia was a really cool antagonist but there wasn't enough of her. I actually felt sympathetic to her plight after doing her personal quest. I found myself questioning the whole "lead them or fall" motto that was used to advertise the game. Really, you can only lead the Inquisition in a good way. There is no falling through bad leadership.
