She wasn't mean to the good companions. She had terrible social skills & has spent hardly any time around other human beings. She knows how to respond to disapproval, but she's uncomfortable with kindness (though she learns to return it really quickly).

Alistair is super mean to her. In the Wilds, when she's just saved your life & making you dinner, Alistair can't wait to insult her. WTF, dude.

Classy...

It was. There was music, tasteful nudity angles, and a roaring campfire by the side while I fucked her right in the *****.

EDIT: How on Earth is b-word censored but THAT isn't!? Are you kidding me!?

Indeed, she was not a blood mage. But you could give her the specialisation.

You could make Wynne a blood mage too, so I doubt any specialization you give them would ever be considered.

Alistair and Morrigan tore one another to shreds because they were both immature. They've both softened up considerably since then. He's king in my playthrough so I don't get to see it, but if you save Warden Alistair from the fade and you've already got Morrigan, he makes a friendly quip to the Inquisitor, telling Quizzy to let Morrigan know that he stood there with a dumb look on his face- his tone relays that he knows she'll be softly amused by it. Conversely, Morrigan can refer father!Alistair as a good man to Kieran.

It's one of the many instances where the game assumes you're familiar with the previous games, books, and comics rather than giving you information and character development in the game itself.

Morrigan also got more automatic grins from the Inquisitor than anything else in the game, regardless of how one actually felt about her.

Well... if Kieran is around (depending on your DAO choices), she tells the IQ that she's taken great lengths not to let her reputation affect him at all.

So apparently, there's word on the street that she can be a power hungry ******. Additionally, Leliana speaks very negatively of her at the Winter Palace, even suggesting she has some-how 'seduced' members of the imperial court. While I am a fan of Morrigan, I rather liked some of the responses the IQ could give her that were less than friendly. Like, when she barges in on a War Table meeting... IQ, "The guards at the door aren't there for show." lol

The inquisitor is apparently tactless when it comes to that topic. I made a topic on this. Perhaps its because the Inquisitor secretly loves Leliana.

Morrigan, like Flemeth, warn against Blood Magic... but not to the point of it being absolutely vile. The negative they refer to is directed to others who use it, in addition to the obvious demonic dangers. Essentially they are saying people that are not them are idiots and those idiots don't know enough to not be dangerous.

Specializations aside Morrigan can use blood magic during DAO's Redcliffe mission. So without any player involvement Morrigan is established as being competent with Blood Magic. I suppose whether that means she can say she is or isn't a Blood Mage might be an issue of semantics or political correctness.

Funny how you can punch the male companion but not the females... not even as a female can you punch female companions like Vivienne..

I do not usually incite to violence to anyone, especially women but Vivienne, oh Vivienne...

Leiliana does tell you not to trust Morrigan or something like that. And Morrigan is incredibly power hungry around you. And she keeps secrets from you in the temple when she doesn't tell you everything she translated.

So it seems pretty reasonable for the Inquisitor to not like or trust her.

Yeah,I did notice some dialogue options that the inquisitor didn't have a reason to address, but my inquisitor was as polite to her as possible.
However, I must admit, even though I love Morrigan her attitude in the temple of Myhthal didn't impress my Dalish inquisitor at all.
Although it mostly felt as she was designed to interact for a human inquisitor for that particular scene, who knew nothing about the elven lore.

I personally never liked Morrigan's character much.  There was too much interest in personal gain that I got from her with Origins and while you're in Mythal's temple, her response to several things makes it clear she knows more than she's telling you and becuase of my experience with her as the warden, that just told me she was only where she was for her own interests.  Morrigan has proven herself to be crafty and always, somehow, in the right place at the right time.  I don't trust her character, never have and I for one, was disappointed to see her again in this game (same with Flemeth and Leliana though admittedly as I didn't like any of their characters).

That's just my take on it though.  Her voice actor very clearly protrays a sense of betrayal in her acting and Morrigan's statement that only she would be able to properly utilise the Well's knowledge was just icing on my Morrigan is a controlling, manipulative B&%*$ cake.

The lines blur somewhat in the Inquisitor's interactions with Morrigan, a conceit that appears not to apply to some of the companions? Franchise "head canon" at work!

The moment where you may ask if Leliana and the Divine were lovers was just unsettling.

She's an elderly woman, for Andraste's sake.

I never had my Inquisitors ask if she was "involved" with Justinia.  Or ask Dorian if he was involved with Felix, for that matter.  It felt insensitive to ask, at least in my opinion *shrugs*

OT:  It's conceivable to roleplay an Inquisitor who's distrustful of Morrigan for being an open apostate who dabbles in the dark arts.  Celene's Court certainly didn't care for her.

All of them must be preserved for the future scientists who will study the BSN.

Dangit. Keep forgetting that.

I have a compulsive need to pick all possible dialogue options each and every time so my Inquisitor's come across as vaguely voyeuristic and devoid of personal boundaries.

Btw does Leliana ever actually straight up say that they were not  romantically involved? She makes you feel like a ****** for asking and while you're still busy blushing she takes the topic down a different track by acknowledging a bunch of ways they were more than friends so as to satiate your curiousity. While making you feel all backwards for even thinking like that but without actually ever denying it. It's a very Bardy little bit of verbal sidestepping. She does something similar when you ask her what exactly the Left Hand does, but less subtle.

I'm sure it is some kind of sexist agenda.

Then don't ask tactless questions if you don't want to be seen as tactless. If you don't care, don't ask.

The funny thing is, the question never disappears from Leliana's dialogue tree.  It stays until the end of the game, always giving me that option to make sure she was banging the Divine.
