I would love a DA game with a much more personal and much less save the world kind of story.
But please, I don't want it to be like DA2. Not only did that game introduce the special brand of soulless side quest that lives on in DA:I's found letter quests, it also - and I realize that this is all personal taste - had a cast of characters and main story that did very little for me.
DA2 saddled me with a family but did a horrible job when it tried to make me care. Carver complained, Bethany died in a stupid way and mom blamed me for it. What a great way to start, with no reason to actually like them. I tried to make Hawke my own character, but the attempt was torpedoed by terribad paraphrasing and the time skips that led to things like Varric claiming that I had made a name for myself...just what kind of name? No one told me. A shame, too, because I really liked Hawke's VA.
Fenris complained. Anders complained. People did stupid things. I didn't enjoy myself very much.
Should Bioware ever attempt at a game like DA2 again?

Da2 in my opinion is the worst game produced by bioware, but DAI has made me see DA2 in a new way. For all its faults DA2 still feels like a dragon age game, but DAI doesn't
That is actually a fair point. I really like DAI but it really only feels like a Dragon Age game during certain quests that take place during key plot points (Into the Abyss comes to mind) but the vast majority of the game feels like another generic fantasy game wondering the countryside which is still enjoyable but something that is found in most fantasy games.

I really enjoyed DA2, but I didn't enjoy they way they implemented some of the ideas. It felt kind of shallow. So, I'd be happy to play a similar game again, sure.
