Can't miss what you never had.
Is it truly better to have loved and lost than to never loved at all?

My father was married to my mother for sixty years. He loved her the entire time. Now that she is dead, he mourns her loss. But if you were to ask him this question he would say very emphatically that he is glad to have loved her and to be loved by her. In that context, the answer to the OP's question is 'yes'.

But you have pillows with anime waifu or husbandu print on them!
Concluding this thought, those anime waifu/husbandu prints on pillows also never leave you, or in case of misplacing or wearing them out, you can get a new print, since the physical existence of said waifu/husbandu is merely a medium required to project said love into a handy form to relish, the subject of your adoration is immaterial and hence timeless, meaning the topic question is irrelevant in this regard.

It's the darkest hour, you're 22
The voice of youth, the hour of dread
It's the darkest hour, and your voice is new
Love is lost, and lost is love

The thread title immediately made me think of David Bowie; In fact the lyrics are perfectly appropriate, so there.. Not gonna waste a good opportunity to post 1970's glamrock sensation, David Bowie. ![]()
