You're right that the content can be judged, what I mean is that it is not fair to create an environment where it is acceptable to judge a creator and their audience based on what's in their game.Actually, yes, they can be judged, there's no right there. Anything artistic can be judged. The developers and creators are free to do what they want, but they are not free from critics and people can judge the content, whether it is legetimate or not.
Dont let bears ruin the game industry

If that trailer came out a few years ago the comment section would be full of people talking about the game but nooooooooo let's talk about that one female character.
WHY?
Talking about the character is fine. I'm mad everyone, whether positively or negatively, is so hung up on her appearance. Like, can we talk about all the clutch assistance she was giving in the video like a boss. She's the real MVP for ricocheting that grenade towards the helicopter.
That's rude to my gifs.
They were very tact.
Perhaps, but haven't you realised yet?
This thread is still your fault, Sim.
GODDAMNIT SIM!
You've ruined everything ![]()
*is going to leave the BSN forever (2-3 days) after he creates a massive thread about it*

That's what I meant.
I should edit my post.
That's the issue with the gaming journalism. If the game doesn't conform to the political bias of the reviewer the dev will be attacked, shunned, and shamed while the score is dropped significantly. The quality of the game's mechanical, and technical aspects means little in regards to it's overall score. Remember that Polygon review of Bayonetta 2?You're right that the content can be judged, what I mean is that it is not fair to create an environment where it is acceptable to judge a creator and their audience based on what's in their game.
For example, there has been a very strong push from certain critics in the media and their SJW readership to shame Czech developer Daniel Vavra as a racist because he does not see a reason to have notable non-white people in his historically accurate game set in 15th century Bohemia.
If the history checks out and that is what he wants for his game, why should he be called a racist for that?
I am not against critique, I am against intellectually dishonest critique which has a primary goal of pursuing an agenda.
