If they included heels, they'd effectively make the Inquisitor shrink. Since having the heels add to the Inquisitor's height would cause animation issues.
Come in handy for a dwarf though. Oh wait... maybe stilts would be more appropriate.

Just because some people can do things in heels in otherwise ideal situations doesn't mean that wearing heels into combat is a good idea- especially when you consider the fact that the Inquisitor is wandering all manners of rocky/uneven terrain. There's even a banter about it. High heels while traipsing along the Storm Coast or the Exalted Plains is basically an invitation to twisted and sprained ankles.

Corypheus didn't seem to mind.
Cory's a bad example- he mostly just floats everywhere.
Is that right? Good thing that trend died centuries ago.
*imagines running around in heels in the mud and no asphalt in sights* Nope! Vivienne is a very brave woman.
I've seen some weird asks but this is a first..

Again missing the point... this is not about putting heels in the game or not...
Let me try again...
Heels are already in the game.
There is already a battling/exploring character wearing them.
All I ask is that it is available to the Inquisitor.
Now if you please can argue CONSIDERING THIS.
Because all you said are well known arguments about heels that AS I PREVIOUSLY AGREED did not fit Thedas.
But now they are here.
So please, if you comment try to remeber they are in the game and it makes no sense that a character X can wear them and another character Y can't,
Again, as I seem to have to repeat everything since everybody ignored, it is not a matter of like or dislike. They already are here. Open the game put Vivienne in your party, see the heels. If they are not enough go to Val Royeaux.
So you don't want to wear it, don't do it, as any other piece of armor you dislike but there is no point in being against heels being available to the Inquisitor when THEY ARE ALREADY IN A COMPANION THAT YOU USE IN BATTLE.
So in the next comments if someone could please comment without ignoring this I would really appreaciate because everybody up until now talks as if I was asking to put something ridiculous that is not in the game. THEY ARE. I'm not asking for new content. Again: Not a new content. Also not content from another game in the series. I'm talking about something that is in this very game and I'm only asking that they let the Inquisitor equip it.
And about realism... open the game, play, take a look around, at everything from locations to items, including armor designs, go back to this thread. Also, one thing when people criticize heels in setting where people have "superpowers", if you are superstrong your ankles won't twist, same if you are superdexterous, or super resistant. This is the kind of critic that makes me think how biased people are, it is ok to be burned by Dragons and survive without a scratch (even when the game setting features scars), being electrified, slashed or stomped by dragon claws, be able to break huge rocks with a chain (warrior can use to break things), walls with a kick, or to hit the ground so hard with a weapon you create seismic waves, none of these things in DAI involve magic, it is ok to move 10 times faster than another human being without magic too, or a horse survive a certain death fall without injuries, armor specific too like Bull's "armors", but no, heels no, absolutely no, too immersion breaking... what?
;===================================================================;
Now to be sure people can keep track of these simples points a TL;DR version:
1. Heels are in the game in NPCs.
2. Heels are in the game in a companion.
3. Heels are already in the game.
4. Yes, There are heels in the game.
5. There are lots of heels in the game.
6. Yes, they are in THIS game, Inquisition by the way.
7. No they are not in another game, they are in Inquisition.
8. Now, why not let the Inquisitor craft a pair for them?
