Still should have been an option for female human Inquisitors.
Totally agree! Should have also been an option for male elves to get into a political marriage with Briala [if you made the right choices] to secure Orlais' new elven noble line.

And an option for female Lavellan to just cry forever in a corner because Solas is a terrible boyfriend ![]()
I liked the background-specific quest outcomes in DA:O, but I can see why they got rid of them. They became a pain in the ass as the franchise moved forward and had to honor all those variable worldstates.
Ehh, just replace the inquisitor in the OP with Vivienne (which can happen now) and we could still possibly get the same reactions from Leliana and Cassie.
Vivienne and Cassandra actually likes each other. Vivienne even supports Cassandra as the Divine, because they share similar beliefs.

True, but she might be a little miffed at being passed over for Divine just the same.

My canon Fem-Lavellan shares your pain. Ironically enough, I picked her because it was the only combination that lead to potential elven babies. Where's my Fen'Harel damned dynasty Bioware!?
Old news, but alas no male mage Inquisitor Divine guiding the South the true path.
Old news, but the pain is still fresh...why can't this dream come true. Why we're forced to put up with this heretical Orlesian Chantry instead of letting it die so the Inquisitor Divine may guide the South to the new path, a better path. ![]()
Divine Victor...I can dig it lol

Female Trevelyan is the only IQ who I can fathom being a serious candidate for Divine.
Everything else feels too silly.

Hardly if inq wanted i don't see what would stop him/her from taking over the chantry without clerics approval templars already proved that chantry is toothless.
I'm glad they didn't make that version. There should be a limit for turning the lore upside down. For a more power-hungry Inquisitor, I rather miss the option to take Corypheus' place and acquire some power and characteristics usually associated with gods.
Anyway, as happy as I am with my Inquisitors, for the next game I prefer a wider range of characterization.
It would be interesting. It would require making lots of friends (at last gathering sh*tload of support would matter rather than just be some insignificant background information!) and it would likely lead to great civil war even in best-case scenario and in some configuration it should end up with Quizzy assassinated or everything going straight to hell (who says strange choices should always end well?). But existence of this option would be so badass.
And though I find it really disturbing, I actually agree with TheKommandorShepard on this - if the Inquisitor really put his/her back to it, Chantry would be forced to accept any candidate Inquisition "recommends". It could be short-lived and it could (in some configuration) destroy both organizations in the long run (there are rebellions against Vivienne, after all - and she was "just" a mage) but in the short-run it would definitely be possible.
Also, with real-life popes some really funny things happened at times, so when we account for fantasy being generally somewhat over-the-top... why not? ![]()
EDIT: That is, other than the fact that they would need to account for the situation in any DLC and future games...
On my first playthrough, I actually thought inquisitors could be a candidate to being the next divine. tbh I really want that power! ![]()
still brokenhearted my Amell couldn't become queen. ;_; (glad there was a mod)
Here's hoping for an Inq-Divine mod olol
there is already much critiscm about that you gain as inquisitior to much power.. that you can be a hero without to do anything to be able to be one and so on.
some online magazines write about a god complex and megalomania because you can be all into dragon age inquisition.
so i guess to be a hero...the inquisitor and the divine at the same time would be a little bit to much.
but to be honest ...i like megalomania ![]()

Well, being a hero would be one of the reasons why you could do it. I mean, really, imagine, say, a female elf. That's definitely not a valid candidate for Divine and to put you on that throne would be a great challenge for Inquisition's influence, but with that whole Herald of Andraste thing it might actually work. There would be strong opposition, of course, but I can imagine it working to an extent. Basically, if you play your cards right, you end up being seen as a prophet chosen by Andraste herself. And this can get you a long way when it comes to being accepted as Divine (that is, after you first ruthlessly exert your influence to be get the job
).
Those pictures tell a sad story of what could have been. They had it right the first time but decided to go Disney.

well ..like you write .. you are not only a hero...you are the herald of andraste.. if you drunk from the well of sorrows you could be also bound to mythal..maybe a herald of mythal in the future too. you are also the inquisitor and since we know that your family is a noble one in ferelden (house trevelyan) .. you are also a noble.. a lord or whatever..... and anyways you are godlike with the power to close breaches....
many people think that its already too much...
my dai story end with the fact that cassandra is a good divine .. she is powerfull but she havent more power in thedas as the inquisitor.she support the inquisition like before.the new divine and the inquisitor are together the ruler....and empress celene is not mighty anylonger.
but maybe we can be divine with a dlc or into the next game.
It would have been pretty interesting I think. I also prefer the original reaction to Celene's assassination. It fit Leliana's character better.
Seems like the only thing they kept from that pic is the Quisie's heinous posture when s/he's sitting on a throne. Heeeeeiiiiinnnnooouuuussss.
Pretty sure that's why Cass and Leliana are so emotional too.
'Our baby Quizzy has finally learned how to sit like a real ruler... They grow up so fast *sob*'

Disney movies don't have pieces of a character flesh scrapped off. Or a woman near bitten in half by a dragon.
