Disney movies don't have pieces of a character flesh scrapped off. Or a woman near bitten in half by a dragon.
But you have to admit DAI is pretty much a high fantasy with dark undertones.

Well. They do have father of main character trampled to death. And the villain ripped to shreds by his ex-allies (even though we only see it as a shadow, it's not shown on-screen).
Well, that's a shame.

And the villain hung to death in Tarzan, and the only glimpse of the body we see (which probably very disturbing for children) is a shadow which is haunting.

That´s a shame, I want my Inquisitor to be some kind of dictator, like Napoleón, a ruthless bastard. But looks like the only way to go is to be the goob boy/girl .
Dams, I miss my warden ![]()

Imagine an Inquisitor who drank from the Well of Sorrows and becomes the Divine. Who would be the real boss?

That would have been fun, but sadly my Inquisitor was not devoted to the Maker, so it would have been a rarely used option by many I bet, especially Elves and Qunari. And I do not like the Chantry nor support it.
My Qunquisitor would have gladly jumped at the chance to become divine just for the power (Of course I would have made a mage just to really add more fuel to the fire). I am a tad upset that there really isn't a way for a "the end justifies the means" playthrough. I'll have replay DAO to experience at that again.

I wanted to play my human mage Inquisitor like this...
But I don't think it's an option, sadly.

Origins did it, does it, and will always do it betta.

MAN. I would have totally been divine. Can you even be divine if you're male? I guess you can in Tevinter. ![]()

All done off scene. It not like you see the results.

More like it just does psycho evil better.
Disney, just like Dragon Age, gradually grew less dark with time.
For example, Snow White actually has the Evil Stepmother giving the huntsman a jeweled box that she tells him to put the heart of Snow White in.
That's reasonably explicit and dark.
Less dark? Dude...Snow white was their first movie.
Those pictures tell a sad story of what could have been. They had it right the first time but decided to go Disney.
I never got the whole "Disney is nothing but rainbows and unicorns". Those movies have a lot of depressing or dark moments. They are just done subtly enough that children won't catch or understand it.

Disney's Nightmare Before Christmas had the villain be skinned alive, insides boiled while still alive then finally curb-stomped by Santa Claus.

He was a stuffed pillow ghost.

Well, since Mythal is now apparently dead I think the contract between her and either Inquisitor or Morrigan is ended.

And? You said Disney never had skin removed, when they have done exactly that to a lot more of an extreme than Leliana getting old(she does not look like someone being used for skin grafts).

Indeed. The episode of Tom and Jerry where they show a silhouette of Tom being beheaded by a guillotine still haunts me to this day (lol... well, not literally, but it's pretty disturbing nonetheless... xD).

Off scene...

...completely...

...it's not as if we ever see a sentient being blown to bits, pieces of its body flying around...

...or a villain geetting literally torn to shreads and incinerated at the same time, on-screen...

...or maybe you would prefer a whole army swallowed by by an avalanche?

And, of course, results are never shown. Ever.

...right?
I don't try to argue that Disney is darker than or even as dark as Dragon Age setting, but what darkness it has, it makes a pretty decent job at showing off, eve if it's done so that most of it goes over children's heads ![]()

Origins allows for a variety of "evil" protagonists. Inquisition demands that they toe the line.
The Envy Demon's version of the Inquisitor with a few tweaks should have been an option.
