Ran through Perilous in about 19 minutes against demons. In some spots it got a little chaotic almost died a couple times running through.

I ran Fade Cloak, Fade Step, Walking Bomb, and Winters Grasp (upgraded). going for all damage passives in the first tree

You want to open up with walking bomb most of the time and use FS/FC to dodge attacks and act as finishers to trigger walking bomb explosions.

Some things to keep in mind

I wouldn't recommend going against demons unless you have at least 50+ willpower, the spirit resist will help a lot.

Make sure when you use FS you put yourself in a position of safety, you dont want to have it finish then just be auto attacked.

Watch out for Fear Demons, they one shot you no matter what.

To take out Despair Demons use walking bomb and trigger the explosion, they'll be knocked on the ground, this is when you walk up and trigger Fade Cloak on them for massive damage.

If you die there's two things you can hope for, walking bomb kills things after you drop, but it will have to be like right after you die, when in ghost form try to time it correctly. Also you can use fade cloak to res, activate it just before your ghost form expires, it will still trigger and if you kill something you will end up resing back up.

Well done! Though I do find more and more that demons are the easiest faction for mages in general. Because your elemental resistance as a mage is decent so wraiths and everything else is not a problem - except that annoying ice beam attack from the despair demon, and fear demons are always a priority because if you do not deal with them quickly one may just one hit you as you mentioned. I find playing against vents and red templars more challenging now as those ranged units and shadows have a way higher likelyhood to end your day in a bad way. Using both fade cloak and fade step is the build with the most survivability, as even when you use one more as an 'offensive' ability, preferably the cloak, you still have something to fall back on should things get tight.

Fade cloak+Fade step combo is key for soloing Perilous with all mages.

In other words,crutch.

And as Ottffsse said,Demons are these days the easiest faction.

Edit.

I play with Necro so rare,that I forgot,she doesn't have Barrier .Good job :D

yeah i agree, demons are the easiest now, especially since I have a bunch of willpower

I will, I'm certainly up for the challenge I'll try solo red templars next, although it will be extremely hard.

thanks man, appreciate it.

yeah on the necro with damage passive fs/fc hit so hard and it requires almost no mana to use which is key, also giving you utility and flexibility to move around the map

Well done! What are your base stats?

The Necromancer is not OP, only Crucible is OP, this guy has insane stats from playing for a million years and so he can do things that not many others can.

Yes and thats my new goal, but its going to be very challenging, This is my first attempt at it. trying to solo Red Templars. I clear the first zone but things go downhill from there haha, one mistake and you're done. I'm up for a challenge though, and will continue to try.

The thing I want to do though is obviously try to win but do it as fast as possible, which is no easy feat.
