Have fun farming fade touched materials for your dozen suits of armor because I think +guard on hit aka godmode beats slightly more appropriate damage type
I do like +guard on hit especially for my assassin she hits so often that the guard hardly ever drops. You can get more than one drop for guard on hit though.

Can you jump off the chest?
Nope. On PS4 "jump" and "use" buttons are assigned both to X.

Didn't Skyrim have a HOUSE you could buy with racks to view your weapons and dummy's to display your armour/ gear?

So this makes you want to play the game where the storage chest was not only DLC, but in a lousy location?

It's essentially useless but in future playthroughs I'll certainly use it to store interesting items.
Or, they may have just made it for Jesse Cox - have you seen his DA:I playthrough ?

Never bought DLC for Skyrim, but upon completing some quests were givin the option to buy a home.
When you slept there you awoke well rested....you must be thinking of the PAID add on....

I either sell or equip stuff, so what is the point of the chest? Am I not understanding something?
Does it really matter if its their or not? Am I misunderstanding something?

Well mainly due to the loot tables being completely screwed. I can't tell you how many times gear that can't be used for 4+ levels drops for me. Now, with the chest, I can save it. before I either carried it or sold it.

I like to store equipment I might find that's 3 levels too high for me to equip or I put all crafting materials in my storage chest and when I go to the undercroft I take them all out. It makes sense because you wouldn't be carrying your items around with you unless you had a baggage boy or caddy. "Sir Caddyshak? Be a darling and hand me my Dwarven Long Sword and give casandra that mace I just crafted in the undercroft/batcave. Also I think ill need my sand wedge."

You could buy a house. Or, if you had the DLC {Hearthfire), build one. Or you can use one of the thousands of house mods. Hearthfire, by the way, was really for the console players. PC users, we already had house building mods. But Hearthfire does add some nice things for homes (not to mention it added your kids, if you wanted them), and it's cheap so most on PC get it.
There are also many storage mods - ranging from random hunter chests, to magic bags, to pack mules and slaves.

Personaly I think the Undercfot and the arory should be connected but while they aren't it makes it more like the Inquisitors personal smithing cave. And where Im sure Dagna an the old guy do some questionably things while you're gone. As they are just standing in the weirdest place the whole time not doing anything as if they where doing something bad just before you walked in.

You said let me go and play Origins. That was the game where the storage chest was only in the dlc and stuck in a castle in the middle of nowhere.

But but... crafting materials don't even use inventory space.
That's a lot of hassle for some RP'ing.

You can use the chest for items you can't use yet, runes and upgrades, rings, amulets and gear you want to hold onto for certain fights, alternate gear sets for builds (rings that effect specific skills in particular), armour and weapons you like the look of but aren't the best stat wise so you swap them out for fights that are tough and some people like collecting unique items.

Is this chest PC only or is it available on the PS4? I'm aware of the new PC patch but don't know of any new console patches.
Thanks.
All the consoles got the patch the same time as PC

If you don't like the chest, then don't use the damn thing, it's literally that simple

it was the same with the walk toggle. People complained there was no walk toggle. Bioware added a walk toggle. People complained the walk was too slow. Shakes head. ![]()

To be fair, most of the people complaining about the walk toggle were already using a jog toggle from CE. ![]()
