Female!

Okay.
Glad to see something is updated there finally.
Also, I just have to say that the mage tapestry image for the Inquisitor is terrible, for the simple fact that it has the character wearing the beige skyhold pj's instead of some kind of armor.
Females Everywhere!

I noticed that, and the first thing I thought was: they did it to F*** with us. *Conspiricy theory 101*

They gave warriors the "mail" version of the Inquisitor clothes, they gave rogues the "armor" version of the Inquisitor clothes, and they gave mages ...nothing. What's that? You wanted that badass longcoat that you've been using the whole game? No. Shut up. Here's a book and some third degree burns on your hand.

That's basically the undercoat of the mage gear anyways. It fits the motif to me.
Anyways.. in retrospect, I dislike mage Hawke as default. Rogue all the way. Inquisitor is a mage ![]()

Technically, it's the undercoat of the Inquisitor's armor regardless of class. Anyway, I'm glad to roll a rogue. Best looking one XD
I'm noticing a lot of hidden choices here. I'm guessing that some are "Drove the snoufleur into extinction" and "collected all the stupid mosaic tiles".

Nah, everyone is just wearing mage gear. It's the other way around. ![]()
I'm happy it's a female.
I'm unhappy it's a human, especially in the context of a narrative with a choice that has knowledge of great import for the Elves. Basically ends up stealing the heritage from them if the human female took it, and if Morrigan did it well, she does have the knowledge to go with it (plus the delicious irony). Still....
Should've been a Dwarven female. Well, male to me, but I'm a guy and Nasir's my boy so I'm biased automatically. Or Lavellan, but Dwarf is better to me because of the dynamic as a foe to Corypheus.
So really, it should've been Dwarf. Male or female, but Dwarf.

It's already a stretch that you get to play a Fade wandering Dwarven pseudo-mage.
They're cute though. ![]()

Not really, given there are the many implications that Dwarves were once mages in the PT days, and the knowledge that they're not incapable of traversing the Fade but are merely blocked from it normally (they can be pulled in, as DAO/Awakening/DAII demonstrated before).
Kinda hard to stretch something if it's been done repeatedly in the past.
Well, my favourite playthrough so far has been human female Rogue with no romance. But the main reason was that I had the most fun killing things with that class.
And I could make bad puns with naming my daggers.
Default settings are aimed at new players/people who don't bother customizing a worldstate. People shouldn't take it as a validation or invalidation of their playthrough.

I don't think anyone is.
Personally, I'm just speaking from a "What works best for the narrative" standpoint. It's the writer in me.
Cadash I feel works best, with Morrigan being bound to the will of Mythal from the Well of Sorrows.

Pulled in by demons. Not interacting through willpower.
In any case, I already think the Inquisitor is too much of a unique snowflake. I'm not the biggest fan, no matter the race. It gets tiresome the more you stack on the snowflake qualities.
So, I'm wondering about the Keep choices for DA: I. Are they simply in preparation for DA4 or will they also import into DA: I for a new save state (like if you change your mind about a particular choice made in DA: I)?
It should have been an elf for maximum relevance.
hmm...I like that it's not an elf. The other decisions also fit with what I thought they wold be, except maybe Leliana, but even that makes sense now that I think about it.
Kind of curious about Cullen's choice none of 3 are selected?

Oh I agree with you but some take it too seriously though, thinking there is an "intended" choice.
I'm currently experimenting two handed builds with a Cadash (Adrastos
unstoppable in greek apparently
). I don't think he will be my canon but I'm having fun.

My Keep is actually bugged. Can't access. What does it say about Leli?

Importing into an existing DAI game would not be feasible. They may be making standalone DLC with the option to play from imported choices rather than continuing from an existing savegame, but I doubt that, since the existing world screams for more playable content.
The obvious choice that makes the most lore sense in the setting. Human, noble, female = easily accepted by the masses as Herald of Andraste. Pretty much everyone else is a stretch to some varying degree.
But it doesn't have any bearing on anything, so, whatevs.

She is not the Divine so far, the other 2 choices are blank.
Samson most likely dead.

It's irrelevant how it's done. The point is that the Dwarves can go into the Fade, which was clarified to be due to them not being completely separate from it.
And DAII didn't have a Demon do it. Nor Awakening. Awakening had The First do it with powerful magic (that the Baroness remarks upon) and DAII had Marethari do it.

And where's the fun in a story where a protagonist is so easily accepted?
Without struggle, there can be no growth.
