it is incredibly annoying to look for items enemies dropped.

sometimes they fall where i killed the enemy. other times they appear right in front of my character.

I just wish they were more visible.

like rather than be white give us an toggle option to make the loot appear black.

There is also those times when the loot pile is stuck above you in the wall and your feet have to be level with it or over it to grab. Too bad you can't just reload and have it appear on the floor.

Yeah, the animation gets VERY annoying  after the 200th time seeing it, the controls are laggy, which makes it hard to stop at the correct distance, if the object is at head height or above you can't grab it, the object must be "in front" of you (maybe a 180 degree front, but still a nuisance), I often have to hit the R mouse button twice before it'll pick up.

All in all, it pretty much sucks

I find it annoying when you are trying to jump out of the way and you pick up loot instead and take a critical hit. Lol

I know my companions are rolling their eyes as my IQ stops to pick up loot during the middle of a battle...I didn't tell him/her to do so but my PC thinks I told him/her to do so).

LOL! I know! I think when I'm shard hunting I feel like a big idiot in their eyes. I saw a fanfic where someone wrote the companions reactions to the Inquisitor jumping all over the place and off cliffs for shards. HILARIOUS!

Just be thankful you're not playing Skyrim. You don't even get a loot radar there.

Conversely we could be playing Wastelands 2 (which I am), click on one lootable body and the dialog box cycles through everything in range. I'm finding that switching between Wastelands 2 and DAI is not fun because the interfaces are quite different.

I definitely agree they need to change the color of the loot outline, or let us pick between certain colors.  Some times the yellowish orange is ok, but there's some areas (exalted plains which I'm in right now) where it's just absolutely horrible.

It works pretty well, you still get the option to leave stuff you don't want, and it picks up anything that's lootable within the general area of the character - including containers that got destroyed in the firefight

I'll definitely have to get it... The day I get a new PC (mine is unfortunately way below specs).

In which case I'm assuming you are playing DAI on a console!

Well it is coming out for XB1 and PS4. So if you haven't upgraded your pc by that point there's another option.

Agreed. Especially when I'm hunting things the loot just goes most random places. It's never where I killed the animal, it's always somewhere outside of range of the loot radar. And I have had loot stuck in ceilings where I can't get close enough to press X after killing enemy. Loot just hanging on the roof and I can't get it. So random, why can't all loot just drop here the enemy or animal died?

If you are playing on PC there's a mod that really saves my sanity when it comes to looting. It's called Faster Looting. It gets rid of the animation and you automatically take everything in chests if you use the hotkey. If you want to take only certain things you can do so by right clicking.

If you're on console, well, I don't find the looting that bad with a controller. :P It's much more annoying with a mouse and keyboard without that mod.

My Inquisitors jump up and down about 50% of the time when I pick up loot. My companions must think I'm fade-touched.

loot radar was a good addition but some sort of area loot would be nice to have too because picking every pile one-by-one becomes tedious very fast.
