I mean, there's just such majestic creatures. I felt bad killing them.

In certain cases, like Crestwood and Emprise Du lion, where the dragon is causing issues with civilization... yeah, I can see why they'd need to be eliminated. (although that one dragon was just sleeping - sleeping!)

In other maps the dragons are just kind of there, minding their  own business, and then surprise! Inquisition! (I've decided to leave them alone)

And they are just so pretty! I don't want to kill them!

I usually just skip them. No interest in grinding. There are only two dragons I need to kill to get something I want.

Yeah I started to not like it either. The crafting materials are so good, and the fights themselves I really enjoyed, but...they're so majestic and cool. I want to adopt them instead.

Whoever did the models and textures for the dragons did a bang-up job.

Well, probably yes.
They just aren't cute enough to guilt trip me in all honesty.
Snoufleur on the other hand... It's a cruel move by Bioware to make them so bloody useful

I'm on my second playthrough and I left the dragon in Crestwood...

I'll have to kill the ones in Emprise Du lion, I think. But the others... they can live.

I always feel bad, like really bad for them as well, especially when you get them below 10% health and they start panicking ( i know they arent really panicking lol but it sure looks like they are ).

I've never killed any, actually. In part because I like dragons, in part because I hate fighting them for mechanical reasons: long, grindy, and generally unpleasant.

I skip most dragons (except for the Highland Ravager in Emprise...I always want that keeper robe schematic  ), killing them feels like poaching exotic animals for their scales/bones.

How do you kill a level 23 dragon before the endgame?

I haven't killed any. Never know which ones might just be a god in disguise or whatever.

I killed the dragon near the end of the game...Emprise is always the last region I unlock.

I didn't kill a single dragon in all my PTs. I'm the kind of whacko that puts animals above humans :P

In most of the areas, they are kind of just hanging out. It's like killing a bear after walking into a bear cave - well, you shouldn't have done that. Leave the bear alone and it will leave you alone.

The research quest in the Western Approach really bugs me. "Here, put out this bait and watch its flight patterns." "Okay. Oh, it attacked me, now it's dead." Why can't I just put out the bait and watch it fly in from afar? Why do I have to kill it complete a "research" quest? And the researcher is like, "oh, well, that's too bad - did you get the flight patterns?" What the heck is wrong with you?! I just killed your research subject! You should be more upset about this.

In Emprise and Crestwood, they are bothering the town, so those make sense.

Killed two dragons. One in Crestwood, because she did cause damage to the locals, and the other in Emprise du Lion (Kaltenzahn), because I couldn't use the oculara without killing her. There are also few dragons, who block access to landmarks, but I can live with it.

Yeah, got to get those shards! I do that one too.

I have found that the dragons that block landmarks, you can actually go around them. Keep to the edge of the area and you don't have to fight them.

Hmm, I didn't crossed paths with the emerald graves one, maybe because I " loose momentum " in sidequesting and I don't get to explore high level areas.

When I went to scatter someone's ashes, I ran into the Dragon there. It was resting near the cliff, where the trolls are and where you find info on Samson.

And to answer the OP, no I don't like killing them. I even tell IB that when we have drinks. I love seeing them fly above me when I enter new areas. So majestic!
