I mean platinum is just boss spam. It's really boring, so therefore, it's not worth my time and really easy. I would have done thousands of plat solos by now because I'm such an amazing player, but they're way too boring and easy. It's just a dps race and enemies are just bullet sponges. That has absolutely no effect on being able to manage the crowd at all, not at all. Mooks are definitely tougher with their pew pew and their low health, not like these easy bullet sponge bosses that herd me around the map into oncoming fire or a sneaky phantom's sword.

 

Bronze is scary with all the mooks pew pew and I always have to nuke when I get scurred and see a boss enemy...

Play the old ones, and restrict yourself to pistols only.

Ugly, jagged enemies with bad lighting and poor environments are the scariest. Dead Space isn't scary because the presentation is too pretty and the monsters are too realistic. A blocky jagged thing that runs at you from out of nowhere and moves unnaturally is unsettling, especially with bad lighting and no music whatsoever.

 

Mass Effect probably has the best example of a non-scary enemy in husks. Husks are comical, with their wheezing and flailing and their hand-swipe attack that looks like the Thriller dance. They couldn't be less scary if they tried.

no, bronze solos are harder. You can actually run out of EZ mode slow bullet sponges in the wave budget and subsequently have to face like 50 guardians. Good luck killing them all with their invincibility shields while getting pewpewed on
